Sorry for the late post, but my life is crazy with the Mr. Hetero stuff. By the way you can go to www.mrhetero.com and check out the new website. The store is up, we have merchandise, my favorite is the bumper sticker that is of the rainbow but says we are taking it back and then has the reference from Genesis for the correct understanding of the rainbow. But to follow up on yesterdays blog, the Times in London is looking into a report of 50 babies a year born alive after botched abortions. Quoting from their article , read this:

"Look carefully at this: Paul Clarke, a neonatal intensive care specialist in Norwich, has treated a boy born at 24 weeks after three failed abortion attempts. The mother decided to keep the child, who is now two years old but is suffering what doctors call "significant ongoing medical problems."

"The survival of this child was not recorded in any official statistics," Clarke said. "There is nothing at the moment to force abortion practitioners to account for their failures."

Another striking example of the truth, the fact that it is the killing of human beings. Praise God that some do survive this awful crime!!

Our church is opening a crisis pregnancy center January of 2006. Our goal is to see babies born and see moms and dad born again. But to hear Dr. William F. Harrison of Arkansas speak, he is already enabling women to be born again. When I say born again I am referencing people coming to a saving faith in the Lord Jesus Christ. When Dr. Harrison speaks of born again he is speaking of the blessing he feels he is giving women when he performs abortions for them. He feels he's giving life: He calls his patients "born again." This is how he explains it;
"When you end what the woman considers a disastrous pregnancy, she has literally been given her life back," he says. He performs many abortions on each work day and sees himself as giving women their life back!

Here is an actual account taken from the L.A. Times article where a reporter spent some time with Dr. Harrison;
An 18-year-old with braces on her teeth is on the operating table, her head on a plaid pillow, her feet up in stirrups, her arms strapped down at her sides. A pink blanket is draped over her stomach. She's 13 weeks pregnant, at the very end of the first trimester. She hasn't told her parents.

A nurse has already given her a local anesthetic, Valium and a drug to dilate her cervix; Harrison prepares to inject Versed, a sedative, in her intravenous line. The drug will wipe out her memory of everything that happens during the 20 minutes she's in the operating room. It's so effective that patients who return for a follow-up exam often don't recognize Harrison.

The doctor is wearing a black turtleneck, brown slacks and tennis shoes. He snaps his gum as he checks the monitors displaying the patient's pulse rate and oxygen count.

"This is not going to be nearly as hard as you anticipate," he tells her.

She smiles wanly. Keeping up a constant patter — he asks about her brothers, her future birth control plans, whether she's good at tongue twisters — Harrison pulls on sterile gloves.

"How're you doing up there?" he asks.

"Doing OK."

"Good girl."

Harrison glances at an ultrasound screen frozen with an image of the fetus taken moments before. Against the fuzzy black-and-white screen, he sees the curve of a head, the bend of an elbow, the ball of a fist.

"You may feel some cramping while we suction everything out," Harrison tells the patient.

A moment later, he says: "You're going to hear a sucking sound."

The abortion takes two minutes. The patient lies still and quiet, her eyes closed, a few tears rolling down her cheeks. The friend who has accompanied her stands at her side, mutely stroking her arm.

When he's done, Harrison performs another ultrasound. The screen this time is blank but for the contours of the uterus. "We've gotten everything out of there," he says.

As the nurse drops the instruments in the sink with a clatter, the teenager looks around, woozy.

"It was a lot easier than I thought it would be," she says. "I thought it would be horrible, but it wasn't. The procedure, that is."

She is not yet sure, she says, how she is doing emotionally. She feels guilty, sad and relieved, all in a jumble.

"There's things wrong with abortion," she says. "But I want to have a good life. And provide a good life for my child." To keep this baby now, she says, when she's single, broke and about to start college, "would be unfair."

Jesus said you must be born again, and it is only God's grace that will allow you the gift of faith to receive Christ as your own. This is the message that we must get out to this lost and dying world. I do not need to tell you what is wrong with the account of that young girl, you get that. But do you and I get the battle that is truly being waged each day as babies are regularly and routinely killed in the name of enabling women to be "born again"? May God have mercy on our soul!

This is the week where we head full steam into the "Holiday Season", formerly known as the "Christmas Season". Where men and women, boys and girls will walk around and greet one another with a fine, "Happy Holidays" , or "Have a Nice Holiday". There will be little if any mention of Christmas in their jargon. Because the word Christmas has gone the way of many other fine words and traditions, to the graveyard of the politically correct.

You will see over the next few weeks until the Christmas season is over, fights over manger scenes, debates on where and if lights could be put up, and do we allow kids to say Merry Christmas in school. You see unlike Christmas which is a seasonal event , the season of political correctness lasts year round. There are no breaks in the calendar of political correctness. Unfortunately people all over out great nation operate under the fear of being called out by the politically correct police. Too many worship at the altar of the god of tolerance and politically correctness.

But you can change all of that, you can make the bold move of saying Merry Christmas this year. When someone tells you to have a nice holiday, you can counter with the shocking, "have a great Christmas"! Go ahead and be courageous this year, stand out from among the crowd, live with the courage of martyrs of old! How absurd is it that it would even seem like it takes anything special to say Merry Christmas, or that it could even be seen as offensive.

At this time of Thanksgiving let me remind you of some things to be thankful for:
1. The Lord Jesus Christ
2. The fact that if you are His you will always be His by His design and keeping.
3. The Word of God that reveals who He is to you.
4. The indwelling Holy Spirit of God.
5. The church He has called you to.
6. The gifts He has given you to use for Him.
7. The truth that to die is gain if you are His.
8. The freedom to fight sin if you are His.
9. The trials and tribulations if you are His.
10. All things if you are His.

I pray you are His,that Christ is your Savior.
Psalm 100:4b-5 "Give thanks to Him, bless His name. For the Lord is good; His loving kindness is everlasting and His faithfulness to all generations."

Happy Thanksgiving

Well, here we go again. Guess who is trying to distribute literature in the government schools now? PETA, that's right, People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals or People who Eat Tasty Animals, that's my version which I like better. PETA is attempting to have a cartoon like booklet distributed in schools entitled, "Your Daddy Kills Animals". I kid you not , you can go their website PETA.org and find this booklet under the heading of, get this, "fishing hurts"! These wackos are now attempting to teach children that fishing is some sort of evil event where fish are tortured. Here is a quote from their website:

"Children will read: Imagine that a man dangles a piece of candy in front of you. ... As you grab the candy, a huge metal hook stabs through your hand and your ripped off the ground. You fight to get away, but it doesn't do any good...
That would be an awful trick to play on someone, wouldn't it?"

They are likening fishing to the abuse of children, making some unbelievable statements in their analogy. First they elevate fish to the level of humans, or taken another way they denigrate man to the level of fish. They also demonize dads, as seen in the cover of this ridiculous booklet. Fishing, a great family bonding time for centuries, particularly between dads and their kids, has now been portrayed as some type of evil act on society. And the danger is that they want to distribute these leaflets in the government schools, poisoning the minds of children against their fathers.

This would be humorous if is was not so dangerous. You need to know if this is happening in the government school your children attend. The attack continues on the children of our society. Not only do they want your children to be sexually active and perverted, but now they are trying to demonize fathers in the minds of their children. Once again, I thought you would like to know!

Whether you like President Bush or not, you must respect the man. He is in my opinion one of the most unusual Presidents of our era. What makes him unusual is that he does what he says he will do. He is a man of his word, and has great conviction of his beliefs. Many at this time are on the bandwagon of being against the war, although the House Republicans demonstrated that the carping liberals were not people of any consistency of belief, when they called for a vote on pulling out of Iraq that was overwhelmingly defeated. Those who were in the media crying about the war, when it came to it had to vote for it to save their political hides.

President Bush, in contrast, acts on what he truly believes, right or wrong. I have a great respect for someone who truly believes in what they are doing. But last week in China what our President did gave me even more respect and admiration for him. He went to church. Now he did not go to an underground church, it was a government registered church, but reportedly it was a Christian church. This was an incredible statement made by the President as China is a communist country that is very hostile to Christianity. In fact it is one of the leading persecutors of the church. You check any website that deals with persecution of the church and China is a regular on their news cycle.

But President Bush did not just go to church in China. When he signed the guest book he wrote these remarkable words: "May God bless the Christians of China." Incredible! That is courage of conviction. That is a man who has the Gospel of the Lord Jesus Christ in mind. The propaganda PRAVDA like media in our country did not say much about it, but it was one of the boldest moments in our history. Well done Mr. President!

In Strongsville Ohio the wonderful School Department has made another great decision. It is the type of decision that further pushes you toward the conclusion that you must be insane to allow children to attend government schools. School Superintendent James Gray gave an OK for pocket-sized directories, which were provided to the district by United Way Services in conjunction with the county health department and county commissioners, to be given to students at the high school, middle schools and to sixth graders. These were put in the kids lockers.

The booklet describes the symptoms of sexually transmitted diseases and contains phone numbers for Planned Parenthood and confidential reproductive health services and a Web address for the Lesbian/Gay Community Service Center of Greater Cleveland. Eleven year old children were given these books in the continued assault on our young people by the government school system. Planned Parenthood has one goal with school age children and that is to turn them into paying clients. Which means getting them to believe the lie that you can and should have sex before marriage and do it in a safe way. They are very intentional in getting young people to have sex so they will become pregnant and come to them for abortions. The homosexual movement wants school age children to see homosexuality as normal and even noble. A condition they were born with and should embrace.

These two perverted evil movements have access to the lockers of your kids. The government school system has given them easy access to your kids. And all of this in the name of tolerance and political correctness. I find it a criminal invasion of privacy for a school to allow anyone access to the lockers of students. Who knows what your child will find in his or her locker when they go to school?
Just thought you might want to know!

As followers of Jesus Christ we are part of an incredible family. We have brothers and sisters in the Lord that we have never met but they are still family. Isn't it awesome when you meet a brother or sister in the Lord for the first time and it feels like you have known them forever? That is the witness of the Spirit of God that knits our hearts together. We have family all over the world. Let me share what is going on with some of our family in India.

According to Compass Direct News radical Hindus severely beat pastor Feroz Masih, in a Nov. 4 attack in the state of Himachal Pradesh, accusing him of "forcibly converting" Hindus. Compass Direct news is a news service that monitors persecution of Christians. They report:

"The pastor's son, Ramesh, told Compass Direct the estimated 10 attackers were members of the World Hindu Council and its youth wing Bajrang Dal, which has been blamed for waves of attacks against Christians and other religious minorities since the rise of the Hindu nationalist party BJP in the late 1990s.

The attackers forced Masih, 62, to sign a document stating his willingness to participate in a ceremony Sunday in which all of the Christians would convert back to Hinduism, Ramesh said"

What is going to happen this coming Sunday is that more than 60 Christian converts in northern India will be burned to death if they refuse to return to Hinduism by Sunday. Sixty of our brothers and sisters are going to be burned as were the martyrs of the past if they do not return to Hinduism. This type of persecution is happening all the time all over the world to our family. For some reason God has spared us the persecution that the rest of our family around the world live with day in and day out. I am not sure why, though I believe it is changing and soon we will know some of the same tribulations.

I want to encourage you to pray for these dear brothers and sisters who must wrestle with loving spouses, children, parents and their duty to their Father in Heaven. Pray for them that they do not buckle, that they do not give in, pray for them that they stand for their faith in Christ and receive the flames with a faith and peace that only He can give. Pray that the Lord will give them a Stephen like vision as they head home. Pray that between now and Sunday they will believe if they do not already that "Death is Gain!."
What a great day for them to go home, Sunday! What will you be doing Sunday?

No one knows the pressure and reality of someone's job like somebody who has done that job. There is an exclusive elite club of five people in our country that have had the same job and only those five know what it is to live that job day to day. The club is that of the Presidency of the United States. Today the living members are President's Bush the father, Ford, Carter, Clinton and Bush the son. Only those men know the rigors and pressures of the incredible job of the Presidency. Only those men truly know what goes on in this job.

This is why there has always been a courtesy that former Presidents have given to current Presidents. If a former President had a concern or criticism of the sitting President, the conversations would always be in private. It used to be unheard of to hear one President criticize another in public. It has been one of the great and admirable things about our country. That has changed over the years, as President Carter, one of the worst Presidents in the history of our country, has felt free to criticize in public, both Clinton and Bush.

What has not changed, at least until now is the fact that no President would ever think of publicly criticizing a war time President. It is political and social blasphemy for a former President to criticize a sitting President in a time of war. Enter Bill Clinton. A former impeached President. A man who in his time not only had sex with an intern, but gave away secrets to China, fast forwarding their nuclear program by twenty to thirty years by most estimates. A man who under his watch had terrorist attacks that he allowed to go unanswered, giving the terrorists of the world a new boldness and courage to attack us. A man who has done more damage to our country long term with his failed Presidency than maybe any other.

It is this man who is in the Arab United Emirates speaking at a University in Dubai who is criticizing President Bush on the Iraq war. A former President in the Middle East criticizing a sitting President who is at war. This in my opinion rises to the level of treason. How shameful and disgusting, evidencing for those three people who might not have realized how self centered and narcissistic, Bill Clinton truly is.

Agree or disagree with the war, the truth is we are at war. There is nothing lower Clinton could do at this time in our country. But then again the day is not over yet!

Read this from World Net Daily:

"Berkeley High School in the Bay Area university town has a registered Condom Club that offers students 12 free condoms week.
An ad for the club in the Student Daily Bulletin read: "Having sex? Thinking about having sex? Come to CONDOM CLUB at lunch in A205. One meeting will get you a sticker on your ID that gives you 12 free condoms each week from the BHS Health Center."

Reports tells us that invitations to the Condom Club are played regularly over the loudspeakers. The school health center is on board with this and giving out twelve condom a week to kids. Message being, you can have sex up to twelve times a week and be ok. Wouldn't it seem that the health center would feel responsible to share with these young people the truth that condoms are not fool proof? That Sexually Transmitted Diseases happen even when using condoms as well as pregnancy? You would think so, but you do not get that at government school health centers.

One of the greatest terrorist attacks in our country is on our young people. The enemy lurks in the classrooms and offices of the government schools. One dad who was upset over the condom club reported that he had spoken to his son, who informed his father that he had learned how to put on a condom in the sixth grade in his government school!

What is the answer? Parents who are in the words of that old movie, "Network," are "mad as hell and not going to take it anymore." Anything less than that type of passion will only have us ceding more ground to the terrorists who seek to destroy the moral fiber of our young people. We need people who will speak the truth of their convictions. Speak the truth of what is right and wrong. Your kids are having sex! If they are not they are being told and taught they should be, and there is no risk or consequence. All they need to do is join the condom club!

Condom clubs, gay clubs, where does it stop, murder clubs?

Alright, I did it again. It does not help me at all. It just causes me aggravation, yet I keep going back and doing it again. That's right, I watched another Joel Osteen show! I would say service or sermon, but I can't because it truly is a show. Last night I spent about an hour and a half watching the opening show at Lakewood Church in Houston Texas. It is the church that Joel Osteen is the pastor of and they have recently purchased the Compaq Center in Houston and have their church services there.

As I watched last night I was amazed at how many people were in attendance, over 15,000. There were more people in the choir than in our church. The music was very professional and pleasant to listen to. The video presentations were well done by any standard. The dignitaries that spoke were courteous and some like the Governor of Texas seemed to be overtly Christian. It was a thought out, smooth flowing event that went off without a hitch. About an hour into the show Osteen mentioned that many around the world would be joining them by television and satellite, and he instructed the audience to welcome the guests when they saw the crowd on the screen, which they enthusiastically did. As well as everything was done there was something missing, or better put someone missing, God! Sure, they referenced Him from time to time and even said it was all for His glory and even occasionally mentioned the power of Christ to transform lives. But all in all it was a man centered show designed to whip people up about Lakewood church and Joel Osteen in particular.

As Joel Osteen got up to speak he said he was going to give a sermon, and like all of his sermons it was nothing more than a motivational speech to encourage the people to become all that God has designed them to be. No exposition of God's Word, just fluff and the ticking of ears mixed in with a large dose of heresy. At the end of his speech Osteen said he was going to pray a blessing over the people in the audience and all of those watching. And he said that he would speak it and it would be so. That if he spoke the blessing then the blessing would be true. The last time I looked God was the only one that could speak and it was so. But Osteen went ahead and did that and his thousands of fans went along with him. Fans truly are what he has. Every time they showed his face on the screen the people went wild as if he was a rock star, and in fact that it what he is to them, a rock star.

Osteens mother got up to give a testimony of her husband and the taking of the reigns by her son. She made this telling statement, "Joel has never been to Seminary and praise God that he has not". Well Mrs. Osteen I would beg to differ with you. If your son had gone to a good seminary he might have learned that there is more in God's Word than positive thinking. If had gone to a good Seminary he would not be afraid to speak of God's judgment and wrath. If he had gone to a good Seminary he would not have denied the Gospel on Larry King. If he had gone to a good Seminary he might better understand that his teaching on speaking and it happening is extremely heretical. I would not be so quick to praise God for your sons lack of training.

I know, I know, I get like this every time I watch these guys. My wife Cheryl says , "why do you do this to yourself?". Truth be told, I feel it is incumbent upon those who care for God's people to be aware of the false prophets, and wolves who might be lurking around the sheep pen. So why do it do it? For you!

There he goes again. You would think he would have learned his lesson, but he just does not get it. Who? Pat Robertson of course. It was only a few months ago when he had to dine on his foot due to the public calling for the assassination of the leader of Venezuela. He must have digested the foot pretty well, and he must have developed a taste for feet because he is at it again.

In Dover Pa. eight school board members who were pushing for creation as a part of the curriculum were defeated in Tuesdays elections. Ok, I do not like the fact that they were voted off, but this is America and that is the process. And I also do not know the personalities of the people. But I assume it was a community deciding they did not want this taught in their schools. Not surprising and shows there is more work to be done.

Enter Pat "I like the taste of my feet" Robertson, here is his comment:

"I'd like to say to the good citizens of Dover: If there is a disaster in your area, don't turn to God. You just rejected him from your city,"

Is that true Pat? Is that what God's Word says? The people of Dover cannot cry out to God? Why? Because they are unbelievers and voted like unbelievers? You sir are a fool and a heretic! It is time for you to retire and go look for seashells somewhere. Do us a favor, and say good-by Pat! But you will not go, you will stay, as they all do. Ok, Pat, will you be having left foot or right today? The usual? Great!

Mr. Heterosexual 2006

A few months ago on the radio show I mentioned a contest held in San Diego, Mr Gay 2006. It was a celebration of the gay lifestyle and the gay movement. Since then we have heard about a gay cruise line. The gay movement has no problem celebrating their lifestyle and the media celebrates along with them. The public does not say much as they are being trained in the fine art of political correctness. Well I for one believe it is time to celebrate something else, the creation of God. Where is there anyone standing up and proclaiming the joy of heterosexuality, the way God made us?

This has inspired me to hold a Mr. Heterosexual contest Feb 4th at the Sturbridge Host. It will be a fun event where we will have contestants who compete in front of an audience for the title of Mr. Heterosexual Massachusetts 2006. At each event I will be having someone who was gay who has been transformed by the love of Christ share their testimony. I write this to you today to ask for a couple of things.

1. Your prayers as I am fully aware of the heat this might generate.
2. Some ideas for events, we have some good ideas already, ie.. strength test, how many Oprah magazines you could tear. Comment here if you have any ideas.

This idea is already gathering momentum, as I am in the process of scheduling an event for Albany N.Y.

The goal is to bring the celebration of God' design to the forefront. To hopefully give Christians some courage, to see unbelievers come to Christ and to glorify God.
And finally isn't it time that heterosexuals were shown some tolerance?

As a part of my time with the Lord each day I read three devotionals in addition to my regular Bible reading. After reading the Word of God, I spend time in a daily devotional from Calvin, Luther and Edwards. Today's reading from Martin Luther was eye opening. In considering false teachers and how we are to relate to them Luther makes this statement:
"If you spend too much time with false teachers, you will eventually share in their false doctrine, lies and errors. If you play with tar you are going to get dirty."

A great line as only Luther can deliver. He is speaking to the importance of hating what is evil and holding to what is good. He makes an important distinction in this sentence:
"When the Word of God is at stake, love ends and hate begins. But if only personal things are at stake, such as our property, honor or body, we should show respect and serve others. God gives us these gifts to help others. We can risk them in order to serve. However, we cannot risk God's Word, because it belongs to God."

Luther helps us and reminds us of the importance to fight for the truth of God's Word, along with the danger of spending too much time with erroneous teachers. And the fight is more often in the Church then outside. It is in the confines of the "Evangelical" Church where the fight needs to be waged. We live in a church culture of easy believism and moral relativism. Where unity is the highest ideal for many, even at the expense of the truth of God's Word. We live in a climate where professing believers are buying , "I Watch Joel Osteen" lapel pins.
I kid you not. There is a website where you can buy a pin that reads: "IWJO", or I watch Joel Osteen!

And people buy these ridiculous things. But more concerning is that professing believers buy the teachings of people like Osteen and so many others who are not preaching a true gospel. We live in the times where people love to have their ears tickled as God's Word said they would. What is our response to be? When it comes to us personally we take what comes our way. We endure and serve with love. But when it comes to the Word of God, we fight for truth and we hate what is evil and cling to what it good. As Luther writes about that type of hatred;
"Our hatred is a sacred animosity that flows from love."

Legend has it that Nero fiddled as Rome burned. I wonder if the leader of France Mr. Chirac is in the market for a fiddle? If you have not noticed France is on fire and it is spreading to other countries in Europe. Last night was night number twelve of rioting and burning, an unprecedented series of events in the modern era for France. My fleshly political instinct is to take some joy in seeing one of the covert, arrogant, condescending, enemies of our country, France, having problems. I know I should not think that way, just being honest, I will fight it, I think!

Seriously, the events in France are instructive to us on a few levels. First it is typical of how empires fall. If you look at history, this is how it happens. People within the empire who are there but not truly belonging, these are the ones that rise up and overthrow over a period of time. The people doing the rioting and burning are citizens of France, but they do not belong. They are Muslims from Africa and the Middle East. They have come to France and settled there, but they are not true Francs. When they heard Mr. Chriac's opponent in the upcoming election declare he would declare war on the youth who caused trouble, they rose to arms.

We can learn from this as this will at some point be our plight as well. Statistics tell us that by 2050 we will be over 50% Hispanic with the majority of them coming from Mexico. At first glance that might seem fine, but it will most likely be a problem. Many from Mexico believe they still have right to our Southwestern states. They believe that is theirs. It is not hard to imagine in the not too distant future a France like scene on our shores, led by those who are citizens of our great country but do not feel they belong.

Finally the events in France have given the media another opportunity to display their blatant political correctness. Have any of you heard much at all about the ones causing the problems being Muslims? I have not. But the truth is that it is the Muslim community in France that is creating the discontent, just like it is the Muslim community around the world doing the same thing. Clerics get up in their pulpits on Fridays and preach hate and the overthrow of the great Satan, defined by them as Christians, Jews, and anything American. You don't hear anything about this, because it is not politically correct to say the "I " word. You can not use the "N" word, unless you are black and now you cannot use the "I" word. What is the "I" word? Islam. No one has the courage to come out and say the problem in France, the problem around the world is Islam.

Well Mr. Chirac, with his large Muslim population is most often against our country. I wonder how he likes them now? I wonder what he thinks of Islam now? Knowing him, he will probably at some point come out and blame the United States for these problems. But for now I am guessing maybe he is one eBay bidding on fiddles!

In another testament to the debauchery of our society, a new movie is being hailed by the critics as a serious Oscar contender. The movie is called Brokeback Mountain. It is a story of two gay cowboys. It features nude scenes as well as gay sex scenes. It will be the liberal Hollywood left's opportunity to snub all that is good and decent, which most of them are very happy to do.

In thinking about this move a few thoughts occur to me. First, I wonder how the state of Wyoming feels about their cowboys being portrayed this way. The cowboy is a culture unto itself, and the state is closely identified with the culture. Second, I wonder how the cowboys themselves will feel about this movie. It is hard for me to imagine there being many gay cowboys roaming around Wyoming. I have to believe the cowboy in Wyoming and everywhere else will feel like the gay movement has hijacked their lifestyle and profession.

But the most interesting thing for me will be to watch the results of this movie. Will this be a leap forward for the gay movement? Will it be a great advance for the normalization of homosexuality. Or might this be going too far? Might it be that this movie is where people finally say, enough? Could this be the thing that causes those who at times are sympathetic or at least apathetic to the gay movement, to be pushed too far? It will be interesting to watch. For us as believers it gives us more indication of the depravity of society and more evidence of God turning people over to the darkness of their hearts. Which He might be doing to our nation as a whole.

A gay cowboy movie! Where is John Wayne when you need him?

These certainly are interesting times! Two days ago the ninth circuit of appeals in California ruled in essence that parents do not have a right to know what is taught their children in schools. More specifically and dangerous is that the court ruled that parents do not have an exclusive right to be the teachers of their children when it comes to sex and sexuality. If a child is in a government (public) school then the school has as much right to teach children about sex as the parent. This all comes from a lawsuit brought by some parents who were upset that their elementary age children were asked questions about sex and sexuality in class. They had to take a survey and answer very explicit and certainly improper questions. The parents went to court and the court sided with the school!

This is why it matters who is President and who is appointing judges. But more importantly this is a clear message to any parent who has a child in public school, your child is not your own! You put that child in the government system and the government feels entitled to teach your child whatever it wants about sex and sexuality and the courts will and are backing them up. By the way, what they are teaching them is that sex can be safe, so go ahead. Pregnancy is an inconvenience that can be taken care of, and homosexuality is a noble and just way to live, as well as an incredibly noble cause to fight for. I recently had a 9th grace student who attends public school tell me that one of the teachers tells the class that "gay is a homophobic term". I have never been one to say a parent should or should not put their children in any particular schooling, be it public, private or home. But I must say that I would find it hard to find a good reason to submit any child to a government school in which they will be actively brain-washed, without any recourse available for the parent.

As parents we all know that at some point we need to have "the talk" with our children. The problem today is that if your child is in the government school system, they have been given "the talk" long before you get to them. And "the talk" the government school system give is much different than the one you as a loving parent will give. Think about that as you send your children off to the government school!

There is some consternation and confusion on the current nominee to the Supreme Court, Samuel Alito. It seems that what appeared at first to be a staunch conservative who would be actively pro-life, might not be exactly that. There are some questionable rulings in this area that he seems to have decided with the pro-choice crowd. It is still early and still unclear whether it was just good law or ideology that drove those decisions. In listening to all the pundits and thinking about the issue that is the driving one in all the discussions, abortion, I have some thoughts.

First, if and when Roe gets overturned, it does not make abortion illegal in this country. All it does is allow the states to vote on whether or not they would allow abortions. I think many people do not understand that and believe that overturning Roe is the be all end all to the issue. It is not even close to that. I am a fan of seeing it overturned, but I do not in any way believe that abortions will stop when it is. The answer to the abortion issue is not the overturn of Roe, though I am for that. The answer to the abortion issue is not legislation, though I am in favor of that.

The answer to the abortion issue is for believers to get out there and help women to make the right choice. To do as believers have done throughout the history of the church, and be a part of the solutions for those women who feel like their lives have ended with pregnancy. In early Rome it was the believers who rescued the babies from the garbage heaps! Of course we need to work through government and seek legislation and desire justices who will be faithful to the constitution, but let us never deceive ourselves into believing that is the final solution. Let us remember always that we have a command from our Lord to be in the world effecting it for the Glory of God! Many of us will never hold office or be judges in position to change and effect laws. But most of us can speak to a woman about the love of Christ and the beauty of life. Most of us can find an adoption agency for someone to talk to. Most of us can offer rides, clothing and a place to be safe.

Judge Alito might or might not be pro-life. Honestly, that really does not matter very much. What really matters is what you and I, the body of Christ are doing to effect change in our local neighborhoods and communities, for His Glory!

This week on the radio show I have been dealing primarily with the issue of the Gospel and the Roman Catholic Church. It happens from time to time, usually when I have commented on another Priest being caught in some sexual crime, or another pay out by the Catholic Church to abuse victims. The followers of the RCC will inevitably call and want to know why I am picking on Catholics, or why I hate the Church, neither of which is true. It is instructive to hear these people and their kool-aid like adherence to what they believe is their Salvation, the Church. If you step back and think for a minute you will be astonished to put it in perspective.

If you put aside for a moment the truth that the RCC teaches a different and false Gospel that should be accursed according to Galatians 1:8. Put aside that their Catechism states clearly that Baptism is necessary for salvation, that the Eucharist is necessary for salvation, and that Penance is necessary for salvation. Lay that all aside for a moment and simply consider the depth and width of the sexual perversion among the leadership, including the Pope, Bishops and Priests! You cannot go a week or two without reading of some Priest or Bishop somewhere who has been caught or has admitted or is settling financially due to the rape of kids, primarily boys. This epidemic is not ancient history, it is still going on and Rome does nothing about it! In fact they have their own investigations and at times have promoted pedophiles and enablers of pedophiles, Cardinal Law ring a bell to anyone?

How any right thinking person could allow their family to be under the authority of such people is beyond belief! The RCC is one of the largest criminal organizations in the world that preys upon children. It is documented that they have passed kids around, they have moved pedophiles from one parish to another, knowingly!!! Now the comment comes back, "they are all not like that". And that is true, but they all know about it and who is doing anything to change it? Answer, no one!

What this shows us is the truth of God's Word that the heart of man is hard and wicked. And no one can truly come to the Father unless and until the Spirit brings him. Apart from God giving someone the gift of Faith in His Son, people will continue to follow blindly down the road to destruction. I would encourage all who read this, think of one Catholic friend or relative you know and lift them up in prayer today, that God would open their eyes to the truth of His Word, the truth about the Roman Catholic Church, and most importantly grant them faith in Christ!
