As followers of Jesus Christ we are part of an incredible family. We have brothers and sisters in the Lord that we have never met but they are still family. Isn't it awesome when you meet a brother or sister in the Lord for the first time and it feels like you have known them forever? That is the witness of the Spirit of God that knits our hearts together. We have family all over the world. Let me share what is going on with some of our family in India.

According to Compass Direct News radical Hindus severely beat pastor Feroz Masih, in a Nov. 4 attack in the state of Himachal Pradesh, accusing him of "forcibly converting" Hindus. Compass Direct news is a news service that monitors persecution of Christians. They report:

"The pastor's son, Ramesh, told Compass Direct the estimated 10 attackers were members of the World Hindu Council and its youth wing Bajrang Dal, which has been blamed for waves of attacks against Christians and other religious minorities since the rise of the Hindu nationalist party BJP in the late 1990s.

The attackers forced Masih, 62, to sign a document stating his willingness to participate in a ceremony Sunday in which all of the Christians would convert back to Hinduism, Ramesh said"

What is going to happen this coming Sunday is that more than 60 Christian converts in northern India will be burned to death if they refuse to return to Hinduism by Sunday. Sixty of our brothers and sisters are going to be burned as were the martyrs of the past if they do not return to Hinduism. This type of persecution is happening all the time all over the world to our family. For some reason God has spared us the persecution that the rest of our family around the world live with day in and day out. I am not sure why, though I believe it is changing and soon we will know some of the same tribulations.

I want to encourage you to pray for these dear brothers and sisters who must wrestle with loving spouses, children, parents and their duty to their Father in Heaven. Pray for them that they do not buckle, that they do not give in, pray for them that they stand for their faith in Christ and receive the flames with a faith and peace that only He can give. Pray that the Lord will give them a Stephen like vision as they head home. Pray that between now and Sunday they will believe if they do not already that "Death is Gain!."
What a great day for them to go home, Sunday! What will you be doing Sunday?

blog you later,
