Well that didn't take long. I have been saying for a while that the degradation of the covenant of marriage would not stop with homosexual marriage, and now we have proof of that. I give you this from the wire:

"Sharon Tendler, a 41-years-old Jewish millionaire from London married her beloved Cindy, a 35-years-old dolphin, Israel's leading newspaper Yedioth Ahronoth reported Thursday. The groom, a resident of the Eilat dolphin reef, met Tendler 15 years ago, when she first visited the resort. The British rock concert producer took a liking to the dolphin and has made a habit of traveling to Eilat two or three times a year and spending time with her underwater sweetheart. "The peace and tranquility underwater, and his love, would calm me down," the excited bride said after the wedding. After a years-long romance, Tendler decided to embark on the highly unusual path of tying the knot with her beloved dolphin. Last week, she approached Cindy's trainer Maya Zilber with the extraordinary request. "

That is right, we have a wedding between a woman and a dolphin! You read and hear the woman speaking about the dolphin as if it were human. This is the consequence of degrading the sacred covenant of marriage to something that is mans idea. Marriage is a covenant designed by God for His people, Genesis 2:24, it was confirmed by Jesus in Matthew chapter 19 where it is made clear the passage in Genesis refers to the sacred covenant of marriage.

But man in his never ending quest to be God has come up with "better" ideas for marriage. Why not a man with a man, or a woman with a woman, or a woman with a dolphin? Where does it stop? It does not stop until the coming of our Lord, but it is necessary for God's people to continue to be His ambassadors to this world and speak His truth into these arenas. God has always had people who stood up for what was right and true, regardless of the acceptance of the hearers or the climate of the culture. So be encouraged believers and speak His truth!

We read this from the Associated Press:

"High school students won't be debating the issue of intelligent design at state tournaments, the North Dakota High School Activities Association says.
Association spokesman Bob Hetler said parents and school administrators find the topic too controversial"

There are tournaments in many states where the best of the best have debating competitions. I believe the idea has been to have interesting, tough and even controversial topics to debate. Sadly this is where our great country is headed. We are becoming so politically correct that we cannot even have bright young people debate a topic such as intelligent design, because the politically correct police call it too controversial!

Adam Burnside, the debate coach at Dilworth-Glyndon-Felton, said he is baffled by North Dakota's decision. The Minnesota school attends several tournaments across the river.

``It's unfathomable that we're not going to allow some of the brightest, most articulate kids you can find to have an intelligent discussion on intelligent design,'' he said. ``Kids want to talk about it. It's a natural topic.''

It is a sad comment on a society when debate is stifled. One of things I have come to appreciate about this blog, is the debate it creates. Regardless of where you might stand on what I write, regardless if some of you even have fun attacking me personally, I love the fact that this forum creates debate and discussion. A society where debate is stifled is a society that ends up murdering those who do not fit in like Hitler did, or becomes a society where whole segments are oppressed like the women of the Taliban controlled areas. There must be debate, there must be discussion, it is healthy for a society.

There does not need to be agreement, nor does there need to be unity. There does need to be discussion and debate, as that is the fuel of a healthy Representative Republic. So while places like North Dakota discourage and prohibit debate of "controversial" topics, lets continue on with our daily discussions!

There is a new show debuting on NBC television January 6th called "The Book of Daniel". It is about a modern day family whose main character, the dad, is an Episcopal priest. He also happens to have a problem with Vicodin as well as some issues in his family, described as;

"a wife who relies on mid-day martinis, a 16-year-old daughter who is a drug dealer and a 16-year-old adopted son who is having sex with the bishop's daughter. At the office, the priests lesbian secretary is sleeping with his sister-in-law."

The creator of the series is a man named Jack Kenny, a homosexual who just happens to be introducing a 24 year old regular homosexual character in the show. No surprise there, but what is surprising are the following comments from Kenny;

Kenny said he does believe in Jesus, but explained, "I don't necessarily know that all the myth surrounding him is true, but I read his teachings, and I think he was a great teacher and a wonderful philosopher. I think he had a great idea: 'Love thy neighbor.' There's nothing wrong with that."

He says "I read his teachings". He thinks Jesus had a great idea in "Love thy neighbor". I wonder how he feels about Jesus teachings that He is the only way to the Father in John 14:6? Or that God created male and female from the beginning and that what God has joined together no man should separate, in Matthew 19:4-6? I wonder what Mr. Kenny feels about the reality of Hell and the necessity of having faith in Christ to avoid Hell? I wonder how he feels about Jesus teachings about He being God in flesh and as such the Author of all of God's Word which calls a man lying with another man a perversion and an abomination?

I wonder, but not too much, because Mr. Kinney like many others has and believes in design a God, a God of his own making that does what he wants , says what he wants, and has no real authority. He has not looked at all of the teachings of Jesus, if he had he would not promote homosexuality, nor would he create a series that promotes a family being in ministry that Jesus would clearly teach should not be in ministry. It is another attempt to put a perversion of God and His Word in the face of the American people.

I hope by now, you understand and can see through those who would claim to believe in the Bible and read the teachings of Jesus, while they promote lifestyles that are completely contrary to what the Word of God actually teaches. And don't fall for the line "it is a matter of interpretation, everyone interprets it differently". That either means the person does not read it, or they are not willing to submit to what it actually says!

Well it did not take long for the talk to begin. Last week I blogged about the unbelievable decision in Canada by another activist judiciary to allow sex in public at clubs. I made the point that the age of consent in Canada is 14! I brought up pedophilia as a concern. Judith Reisman a former consultant to three U.S. administrations said this,

"the court's controversial decision "will now make Canada a sex traffic playground for pedophiles.... the court's decision sends a clear message to pedophiles: "You don't have to go to Asia anymore. Pedophiles can have the blond, blue-eyed kids in Canada, too."

A clear message indeed. How long before this hits our borders? A telltale sign of where we are heading is the attempt in the movie Brokeback Mountain to make glamorous and legitimize homosexual relationships at the expense of traditional marriage. Though I have not seen the movie, I have read enough about it to know that the heroes are two homosexual cowboys who fall in love and are left to carry on in their painful heterosexual marriages while secretly pining away for one another. People are left after seeing the movie to comment on the beauty of the relationship the two men shared. You have not heard nor will fine comments about the tragedy that would be for the wives and the children left in the wake of such a disaster.

What does this have to do with the decision in Canada? Everything, as the precedent has been set that if done correctly you can move people to accept as normal what truly is abnormal and perverted. How long before there is a stirring movie about the love shared by a pedophile for his or her victims? How long before the beauty of the multi-partnered relationships are explored on the silver screen or the wonder of bestiality? Ridiculous you say? Well I think it wasn't too long ago that 14 year olds being able to legally have sex in public clubs, and a movie extolling the virtues of homosexual relationships were also ridiculous notions!

The Mass Family Institute's President Kris Mineau, did a great job spearheading the Vote on Marriage drive. The goal was to enable the people of Massachusetts to be able to vote on a definition of marriage as one man and woman. The petition was just to get it on the ballot in 2008 so that the people of the state could vote, a novel idea! Well the measure was overwhelmingly supported with 170,000 signatures and most likely over 135,000 verified. A tremendous amount seeing as what was needed was just 65,000. So the people of Massachusetts are one step closer to being able to exercise their right to vote on this issue.

Well the bullies on the block, the activist homosexual community cannot stand the idea that people could actually have the right to vote on this issue, so they , in true form have mobilized to intimidate and bully those who signed the petition. The following is taken off the website that they have designed to combat your right to vote. In this dialog they are talking about the possibility some of the names might be frauds, take a look at this:

"Thanks for posting the names! Gee whiz, I can't wait to intimidate some bigots. But wait! Now you guys tell me all the names are fraudulent!!!! How can I be sure the people I'm intimidating really signed the petition?

Remember, F**K Democracy...in the A&&!"

Obviously this has been cleaned up a bit, but do you get the point? This group, this small group of people are in the business of intimidating and bullying all of you. I know this better than most, being the subject of their recent attacks! They cannot wait to intimidate people who want to have the right to vote, which they term as bigots! So they are publishing the names, yours among them if you signed the petition with the hope that they can intimidate and scare you away from your constitutional right to vote. You see they are not interested in dialog, or reasonable discussion they are only interested in their agenda being accepted and if that comes at your expense, they could care less.

This is nothing new, as our great country has had those in the past that sought to keep people from voting, from those who discriminated against women to those who would not allow blacks a full vote. Like those in the past who sought to discriminate and keep people from voting, this group will also find their efforts to be in vain. As they will soon find out, when you endeavor to intimidate Americans from voting, you actually turn out more of the vote you wanted to prohibit!

He was prophesied to be born in Bethlehem in the book of Micah, and He was. He is Emmanuel, God with us. Come to reveal God to us in flesh, come to save His people from their sins. He is the Alpha and Omega, the King of all Kings, Wonderful Counselor, Everlasting Father, the Prince of Peace. He is the Way the Truth and the Life and no one may come to the Father but by Him. There is no other name written under Heaven by which a man may be saved from the wrath of God in a forever Hell. He was born of a virgin, lived a sinless life, was crucified on a cross, buried in a tomb, risen in three days, walked the face of this earth in a resurrected glorified body for over forty days, ascended back to the right hand of the Father, is coming back at any moment, His name is Jesus! He is the Messiah the Christ, and He died for sinners just like you! Would you consider this Christmas to come to Christ, beg forgiveness for all of your sins, and receive Him as the owner of your life, your Lord, and the forgiver of your sins, your Savior.

Merry Christmas!

Another brilliant decision from the bench, this time on the north side of our border, I give you this from the newswire:

OTTAWA, Ontario, December 21, 2005 (LifeSiteNews.com) - The Supreme Court of Canada has ruled that group sex in publicly accessible venues is legal.

"In a ruling handed down this morning, Canada's Supreme Court has declared it is legal for clubs to provide opportunities for group sex. As long as consent is given, the area is somewhat private, and no payment is directly involved, partner exchanging or "swinging" and group participation in sexual acts is not considered illegal"

Well you say, what is the big deal? People should be free to do whatever it is that they want to do, and if that means group sex then that is their business. Well before you shake your head too quickly to agree with that last statement, let us add one other minor fact into the equation, the age of legal consent in Canada is 14! That is correct, 14! Which means then that 14 year olds are free to participate in group sex in clubs, with this wonderful protective clause, as long as they are not served alcohol.

It is now legal for 14 year olds in Canada to have group sex in clubs, they just cannot drink alcohol! How does that strike you mom and dad? Does the word pedophilia mean anything to you? You see this is where society ends up. This is where the "it does not matter what I do in the privacy of my bedroom" argument brings you. It becomes a question of who is defining where the line that a society will draw is? According to Supreme Court Chief Justice Beverly McLachlin, group sex neither offends nor harms the Canadian public.

You see it is not an issue of privacy,it is not an issue of live and let live, it is an issue of the lives, hearts, minds , bodies and souls of our children and grandchildren!

In one of the most incredible rulings yet,Judge John E. Jones of the U.S. District Court in Pennsylvania rules that the Dover School Board was behaving unconstitutionally in their decision to have a statement read by science teachers before teaching on the theory of evolution. The judge delivered a scathing report 139 pages long where he goes into areas of explanation and opinion unheard of in decisions from the bench. He inoculates himself from his critics when he fires off the salvo in his decision that, "Those who disagree with our holding will likely mark it as the product of an activist judge," Jones wrote. "If so, they have erred, as this is manifestly not an activist court." Well your Honor I beg to differ. His treatment of this case was incredibly activist, in fact so activist you would almost think he was a Massachusetts Judge!

I will not use today's blog as a discussion on evolution and truly how much of a theory it is. I will not use our time to show once again how much faith you really need to believe in such a non-scientific theory as evolution. All you need to do is consider the radical demeanor of the judge in regard to ruling on the following statement. The statement that has the judge so up in arms, so ready to defend against religion, well here it is:

"The Pennsylvania Academic Standards require students to learn about Darwin's theory of evolution and eventually to take a standardized test of which evolution is a part.

Because Darwin's theory is a theory, it continues to be tested as new evidence is discovered. The theory is not a fact. Gaps in the theory exist for which there is no evidence. A theory is defined as a well-tested explanation that unifies a broad range of observations.

Intelligent design is an explanation of the origin of life that differs from Darwin's view. The reference book, "Of Pandas and People," is available for students who might be interested in gaining an understanding of what intelligent design actually involves.

With respect to any theory, students are encouraged to keep an open mind. The school leaves the discussion of the origins of life to individual students and their families. As a standards-driven district, class instruction focuses upon preparing students to achieve proficiency on standards-based assessments."

Boy that's threatening huh? Once again amazing! Well, what would you expect when you come from monkey's?

Here is one from the wires: "An official Egyptian government newspaper defended Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad's denial of the Holocaust, asserting, in a column, there was no massacres of the Jews during World War II, and the gas chambers were intended for disinfecting clothing".

Now we know that the leader of Iran is a rabid extremist looking for the elimination of Israel, Americans, Christians and Jews,as by the way, his beliefs would dictate. We know that he subscribes to the lunacy that says there was no holocaust, an incredible slap in the face of those who suffered through that horrific time. What is troubling is how more and more people are beginning to jump on that bandwagon, as today's news shows us. And this is what happens when you do not have a free society that includes a free press. You fast forward a few decades from now and it will become common belief that the holocaust was fiction. All of those children who are today being taught in their textbooks that the holocaust was fiction, will grow up believing and living that out. And the lunatic teaching will become accepted mainstream doctrine. Ring a bell with anyone, can I remind you of evolution, abortion and homosexuality?

It is the natural progression when a society and their media are co-opted by the special interests. There will come a day that for you to say you believed there was a holocaust you will be mocked, laughed at and ridiculed. You will be looked on as uninformed and ignorant. It is and will continue to be a tragedy that the memories of the heroic victims of the holocaust are denigrated by such lunacy!

The political correct police never stop. In San Diego this is going on, from the press release:

"A federal lawsuit has been filed in San Diego today on behalf of six young girls and their dance instructor who were told by City of Chula Vista officials that they could not perform their dance routine at the Chula Vista Holiday Festival because of the Christian message on their t-shirts and the Christian music they planned to dance to.

The six girls, ranging in age from eight to twelve years old, are part of a Christian hip hop dance troupe called the “Jesus Dancers”. The girls arrived for their performance on December 3, wearing black t-shirts bearing a silver cross and the words “Jesus Dancer” on the front.

The lawsuit alleges that John Gates, a recreation supervisor for the City told the dance troupe that they could not perform because of their t-shirts. The lawsuit also alleges that when Gates learned that the lyrics to the troupe’s music were Christian, he told them that the music was not permitted either. "

You see in our communist society you are not allowed to do or say anything that has to do with Jesus. You can only do what it is that the political correct police approve of. I mean the nerve of these girls to want to wear t-shirts with Jesus on them, how awful huh? Where does this all end? At its natural conclusion, a communistic, socialistic society that breeds the Stalins and Hitlers of the world.

As far as my battle, I am in the process of finding another venue and have some things in the works. All I can tell you presently is that it will be a bigger venue. Isn't that how the Lord works, allow one thing to go and replace it with something bigger and better? I will have more on that very soon, keep praying and fighting for your constitutional right of free speech and a free marketplace!

Well another eventful day. The Sturbridge Host and Conference let me know today that they are not allowing the Mr. Hetero event at their facility. They are claiming a breach of contract due to the contract stating Holland Congregational Church on it. We do have events at the host and it was assumed by those who printed it out that this was the case, but to be sure the gentleman who set this up for me was crystal clear as to what the event was. The real reason as given to me by the those there is that they have received a deluge of threatening emails from the gay community, particularly the business community threatening boycotts. In my conversation with the general manager he had a problem with the "were taking it back" rainbow bumper sticker that has the reference to the Genesis passage that gives the real reason for the rainbow. He also indicated he has a problem with the part of the event where I was going to have someone speak about "being put on the right path". I explained to him that yes there would be someone there who had formerly lived the homosexual lifestyle who would give a testimony to how they had been freed from that through Jesus Christ. He did not approve of that.

One interesting thing about this whole scenario is the incredible hypocrisy of it all. On Wednesday one of the managers there called me to inform me of the emails they had been getting, but assured me it everything was fine, that their facility would have no problem having gay weddings there, and even had an adult fetish event scheduled there in the past where people would ,according to him, "show their wares, leather whips etc." And the Sturbridge Host has no problem with those types of events, and so he assured me there would be no problem.

The reality is that the Host buckled to the gay activist lobby. And so on it goes. What we are learning through all of this is that tolerance is relative, and freedom of speech is free only if it is politically correct. But the Host could only do what it is that He ordained to be! To be sure, we will have the event as we wait for God to lead us to the place of His choosing. I would encourage all who read this blog to keep those involved in this arena in prayer as we seek to glorify Him through the celebration of His design and the life changing message that Jesus Christ died to forgive all who would come and beg Him to be their Savior!

Today is another milestone in the Iraq war, as the polls were once again open for the third and final election in the series of elections put forth last year. Reports have it that turnout was great, particularly among those who had not come out in large numbers in the first two elections. Be aware that you will not hear this reported many places as the tremendous event that it truly is. Imagine people in Iraq going to the polls, some for the first time to vote on their own future? That is the essence of democracy, a people able to vote on their own future, and due to the efforts of our brave men and women of the Armed Forces under the courageous leadership of the Commander in Chief, President George W. Bush, the people of Iraq have done just that. So it is a good day for the people of Iraq and a good day for freedom in the Middle East. Which translates, for those of you that still do not get this, into a good day for the United States of America!

On another note, I am now the subject of a website. If you go to
www.tomcrouse. net, you will see what those who advocate that I am being hateful have done in the name of free speech. Isn't it strange that those who preach tolerance are so intolerant and those who cry hate are so hateful? Well, hey, as someone recently emailed to me, you know you have made it when you have a website named after you, thanks Wayne!

Well it is happening. Sponsors of the radio show have been contacted and threatened, the high school where our church meets on Sundays has been contacted. I am regularly receiving emails that are interesting to say the least. On the blogs of people I have been likened to Al Qaiada and those who flew planes into the twin towers, and it has been suggested that I need to pass away. So here is the question;
Where is the tolerance? What happened to tolerance? Are we not a tolerant society? The unfortunate thing here is that the homosexual activist are trying to take the event and turn it into something it is not. Mr. Heterosexual is a celebration of God and His creation, His design. It has never been and never will be a hate-mongering, gay bashing event, which is why I have not allowed any one else in other places of the country to organize one without my input. Because I will not allow it to be that type of event.

What it will be is a fun and funny event also with the message that Jesus Christ at Calvary died for sinners, sinners of all types like you and like me. And should someone come to Christ begging for forgiveness of sins, He will forgive them, adopt them, transform them into His own image. Praise God!

So I invite you to consider this as you hear and see the distortions given from the others side... and ask yourself this question; Where's the tolerance?

Praise God, I have good news to bring today, I am back on the air as of today. It is an awesome thing to see how God works through His people. I would like to publicly thank Dave Young the Exec. Vp of Blount Communications for going to bat for me and making the way for this to happen. I also would like to thank Bill Blount who owns the station for agreeing, as ultimately it is his final decision. I am excited to have this opportunity once again and I pray that I will remain faithful to the Lord in all that I do, not just on the radio. So here we go, back at it. Special thanks to all of those who wrote in and called in, although some of you could have been kinder, I understand your frustration and appreciate your having a passion about this, more than you know! As far as the Mr Heterosexual it is on as scheduled, put on by Mr. Hetero Promotions, which again has nothing to do with the radio station in any way, shape or manner. I look forward to this opportunity with all of you again! See you at 2:00pm on the air!

No one at the station had anything to do with this in any way, in fact they were all as upset about this as I was. So please be kind to them in your interactions. Remember that in your disagreement with the decision that we must seek to keep honoring God in all we do at all times. I urge all of you to be kind in your discussion of this, and if you have been harsh with Melissa, call her back and tell her you are sorry to take it out on her or anyone else at WVNE. I wish them nothing but God's blessings in all that they do.

Well you never know! You just never know! Today I felt was a great day after a great night. I had a great interview for 30 minutes on the biggest Christian Radio Station in Detroit. They loved the whole idea of the Mr. Hetero. Yesterday Focus on the Family ran the story on Family News in Focus, of course last night was an awesome opportunity to share the gospel. Well today after my radio show I was let go by the owner of the stations. He does not like the idea of being linked to the Mr. Hetero contests and told me if I was personally going to be involved with the events then I would not be allowed on the air again. So today was the last day for me on WVNE as the host of Engaging Your World. I would be lying if I said I was not saddened by this turn of events. I knew there would be a price to pay for this stand for God, and I knew that the politically correct among us would attack , but I had not considered this possibility. But my joy is that He is in control. I know He used the show for His glory in a variety of ways, and I praise God for the opportunity He gave me to do this.

I will not be able to say anything to anyone on the air, so if you are a listener and reading this, please know I did my best each day to be prepared to give you my best. I loved the relationship we had each day. To those I worked with at WVNE, Steve, Melissa, Joe, Dave Rheno it was awesome, thanks for all of your effort. A special thanks to my producer Randy Berkson, and especially to the Executive VP Dave Young for the faith he showed in me to put me on the air in the first place. Dave, I am sorry it ends this way, as the show was truly picking up some great momentum and by all accounts was turning into an awesome show!
To those who sponsored the show, thanks for putting your stewardship in the show.

Whats next? Only He knows!

Well that was fun. Some observations from last night's appearance on the Tucker Carlson show on MSNBC:
1. It was unbelievably quick. I cannot believe the segment was close to four minutes, it felt like 30 seconds!
2 God is faithful. I wanted to be sure to get the message He wanted out there, and when I gave the answer that "all men are heterosexual", I was amazed at the words the Lord gave me.
3. Gods people are great. So many have prayed and encouraged me in this, it is humbling.

So we will see what the Lord does with all of this. I continue to pray that He is glorified and exalted in all arenas that He brings this to. Thanks again, as it is the Lord , you and me in all of this!

Here is an interesting fact, on the day that we say we celebrate the birth of Christ, many Bible believing churches will be closing their doors! Sunday is the day most believers in Christ meet to worship. I know there are some exceptions, the messianic Jews etc. But for the most part Sunday is the day that the overwhelming majority of true believers in Christ meet together to worship. But on the day that Christmas falls on a Sunday, many churches are closing their doors. Is that not the strangest things you have ever heard? It is for me.

It makes no sense to me that churches would change the way they do things as far as day of worship on the day we celebrate the birth of Christ. I realize many churches have a Christmas eve service. And I am not saying if Christmas is on another day of the week that you have to have a special service, but to close the doors on the day you normally meet for worship in the name of Christmas? What kind of message is that sending to the world? How much credibility do you think that gives the Church with the world? Do you think Muslims would close their doors on their normal day of worship if some special day celebrating the birth of Mohammed fell on that day? The message it sends the world is that Christians are a weak group of people that care more for the things of the world then they do Jesus Christ. It shows the world that Christians are not at all like the One they say they follow and believe in. What a shame!

As for our church, the Holland Congregational Church, we will have not only a Christmas eve service at 6:00 pm, but we will meet for worship on Sunday morning, that's right , on Christmas, at 9:30 to celebrate and worship our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Hey, if your church has decided to close on that Sunday, feel free to come and join us for that morning!

Today we highlight another hero in the cultural battle of political correctness. Laura Steele is her name and she is the student senator at large for Auburn University. She is standing up to the school as they have changed the name of the tree that they light every Christmas, from Christmas tree to Holiday tree. For 125 years they have called it a Christmas tree, but now they are giving it the politically correct name, bowing to the Trinity of tolerance, unity and political correctness.

Well she is doing something about it as she has put forth an official proposal to change the name of tree back to what it has been called for 125 years. Good for her! More people like that are needed in this day and age as the opportunity to stand for something that is right and true and good is everywhere. So Laura I salute you, Merry Christmas and when they you look at that tree all lit up at the University of Auburn, enjoy the beauty of that great old Christmas Tree!

I would encourage you and ask you to pray for me in that interview, as I know I will not have a lot of time, as those interviews generally only run two to three minutes long. As time moves on we all are going to have increased opportunity to stand for what we believe. This comes to us from St. Louis:
"Walgreen Co., the nations largest drugstore chain by revenue, said it has put four Illinois pharmacists in the St. Louis area on unpaid leave for refusing to fill prescriptions for emergency contraception in violation of a state rule.

The four cited religious or moral objections to filling prescriptions for the morning-after pill and have said they would like to maintain their right to refuse to dispense, and in Illinois that is not an option,Walgreen spokeswoman Tiffani Bruce said"

So four people have lost their jobs because they believed it was wrong to prescribe something that they knew would kill a baby. Their belief system would not allow them to take part or be a part of that process in any way. There was a time when that used to be considered noble and admirable. Today it just means you are out of work. I believe with all of my heart that the days are coming and in fact are here where all of us will be forced to make these types of decisions. You and I, should we live true to our faith, will be forced to choose one day soon, whom we will serve. I pray that we would make the right choice , and stand for what is true and right and noble. I pray that you and I would have the courage of these four to hold to what we know is right in God's eyes and not give into what the world tries to force upon us!

In an incredible decision the Supreme Court of Hawaii overturned the manslaughter conviction of 32-year-old Tayshea Aiwohi, who was found guilty in connection with the death of her newborn son by smoking crystal methamphetamine shortly before his birth. It was a unanimous decision in which the court ruled and I quote:

"the justices cited statutes noting a crime needed to be committed against "a human being." They declared since Treyson was not a "person" when Tayshea was smoking the drugs, she could not be prosecuted for harming the infant in her womb.
The proscribed conduct must have been committed at a time when Treyson 'qualified' as a 'person,' defined by the Hawaii Penal Code as 'a human being who has been born and is alive,'"

Mom smoked crystal meth on the day the child was delivered as well as the days leading up to the birth, and the child died two days later from having that in his system. The court ruling amazingly does not see the child as a person in the womb, and remarkably not even on the day of birth! So babies are not human beings until they are born. It does not matter that science, ultra-sounds, technology tell us different. It does not matter that God's Word speaks of His hand at work in the womb, and Him knowing us even before our days are! Moms in Hawaii have the right to do whatever they want to the baby in the womb, and be without earthly consequence.

The society of death marches on. It is in times like these that the light of followers of Christ will shine the brightest. These events, these news stories give us the opportunity to talk about life, to talk about the Creator of life the One who has the right to give it and take it away. So engage your friends in the current news of the day, and bring it up as a discussion, and see how He will open the doors for you to share the awesome news of Christ. Talk about how the baby died because of an addiction to crystal-meth and how the mother was found innocent because the child was in the womb. See how your unbelieving friends react to that, and look for the doors to open! Let your light shine.
