This past Friday at the University of North Carolina Chapel Hill, UNCCH, a young man drove an SUV into a crowd of students. No one was killed but understandably some were injured, and one student went flying over the windshield. What would possess someone to do this? According to the wires:
"Police said Mohammad Taheri-azar, a 2005 UNC-Chapel Hill graduate, admits he acted to "avenge the death of Muslims around the world".
This former student was seeking to kill Americans to avenge the death of Muslims around the world. Which if you follow this blog you understand that this act is consistent with Islam, the "religion of peace". But that is not the issue today, the issue is the college and its lack of courage to do the right thing. The college refuses to call this what it is , an act of terrorism. Students today are protesting the colleges lack of courage, as well they should. Here is one students take on it;
"This is innocent people being attacked by an SUV, driven by a man who was doing it for retaliation for treatment of Muslims around the world," said Jillian Bandes, with the Foundation for the Defense of Democracies. "To me, that spells terrorism."
She is exactly right, which begs the question, why is the school having such a problem figuring this out? The truth is that they are not, but like so many others in our country they are afraid of Radical Islamists. They are acting in cowardice and not calling this act what it truly was, terrorism! The perpetrator admitted as much. It is not like they have to guess at the motive, he told them. But the college fears Islam so they cower in fear and hope it goes away.
But it is not going away, and the sooner people speak the truth the better. Islam is a vicious rabid movement that seeks to kill you and your children and take over your country. History tells us that, the writings of Islam tell us that, in fact the founder Mohammed tells us that. This is how far we have fallen in our country, I was told last week that I better be careful with what I say about this subject. The person telling me that had first hand experience on the receiving end of Islamists who terrorize people into silence. The moment we as a society go silent in fear, that is the moment we are done. So, speak the truth, and fear not, your heavenly Father is in control of all, even those who would seek to harm you!
The encouraging aspect of this story is that students see it and will stand up for the truth today. The discouraging aspect is that most likely it will have no effect on the cowardice of the college!
blog you later,
