This Saturday in Boston there will be an event known as "Youth Pride". It is billed as the "oldest and largest event for gay, lesbian, bisexual, transgender and queer youth and their allies in the nation." It is simply an event to promote to young people ,homosexuality, cross-dressing and other perversions. One of the speakers reportedly will be a teenage boy dressed as a woman, who calls himself "Foxy Cleopatra". This event probably does not come as a surprise to those of you familiar with Massachusetts, but what might surprise you is the group that is holding the event. The Governor's Commission on Gay and Lesbian Youth are the ones putting on the rally. That would be Governor Mitt Romney's stationary that the event was advertised on.

Now this is an interesting turn of events for Governor Romney, who aspires to the Oval Office. If ever there was a great opportunity to make political ground, here it was, and of course it was missed. Romney should have made some statement on his disapproval of the event. He should have made it known that this was not an event he was in favor of, but that was not what he did, in fact to this point he has done nothing but go along with it. If he thinks this will not come back to bite him in the primaries, he is delusional. He already has an uphill battle in the fly over states with his Mormonism, and now he can be painted as pro homosexual.

It makes you wonder what in the world these people are thinking as they prepare to run for office. Wouldn't it be nice for a candidate to simply stick to his convictions regardless of what the polls, pundits and "experts" say? I have to believe as a Mormon that Romney is solidly against the homosexual lifestyle. But in the name of politics, dumb ones at that, he goes against his convictions, betraying his faith, his followers, and more importantly himself. All this proves is that he should not be taken seriously as a presidential candidate, and he won't!
