The Alliance Defense Fund has filed a lawsuit against Missouri State University on behalf of Emily Brooker after she faced what is being called a "Star Chamber" interrogation by school officials. Star Chamber according to reports, "was a 1983 movie about an organization of powerful judges who decided to take the law into their own hands and dispense justice as they saw fit, within or outside of the boundaries of the existing law." This is what Emily, a student had to endure after refusing to complete an assignment in one of her classes. The assignment from Frank G. Kauffman her professor was "that his students do a project "promoting homosexual foster homes and adoption." The project required that the entire class write and then individually sign a letter to Missouri state lawmakers supporting the homosexual community's platform plank of adoption "rights." Emily refused and had to face a grilling from a "Star Chamber" like panel of authorities from the school. All because she stood for her belief system.

A few questions to consider, first of all would this have been done if she were a homosexual refusing to write the same letter advocating heterosexual adoption homes? Second, would she have been treated this way if her belief was based on being a Muslim? Questions with obvious answers, that indicate how close we are to the Canadian system of government where Tribunals decide on "hate speech", such as homosexuality is a sin! The good news in all of this is that as the Church has been historically been persecuted, it has flourished. The sad news is that many parents reading this blog are paying hard earned money to send their children for what they believe is higher education, when in fact it is nothing more than indoctrination!
