ROCKY. ROCKY, ROCKY!

It is rare when you can go to a movie theatre and find more than one movie worth seeing and able to enjoy with your family, but that is the case presently. With movies like the Ben Stiller comedy about a night at a museum along with Will Smiths great job as a down and out homeless dad and his pursuit of happiness you can make a day or a night of it. Our family will once or twice a year, if possible, go to the movie theatre and stay the day watching movies together, it is great family fun. But there is one movie out right now that is must see movie going and that is the film Rocky Balboa. This is the sixth in the series and maybe the best or at least as good as the first. Sylvester Stallone has actually come up with a way to end this series of films in a first class manner. It is a real movie and not cartoon like, as many of the recent editions had become.

There is also a strong Christian presence in the movie with one of the characters Stallone creates. I have heard that Stallone is a new follower of Christ. While I do not know that to be the case for sure, it would seem at least possible, given the movie content. Whether he is or not, this is a movie that is worth going to with the family. I remember going to the theatre to see the first Rocky and then some thirty years later I am back with a wife and three children, two of whom are adults and one that is close. It will be a nostalgic trip with an old friend for those of you who, like me have kept up with the series. For those that have never seen a Rocky movie, it will not be a problem, as this is a stand alone movie that would be good if it were the only one ever done.

So as you celebrate your New Years holiday weekend, if you get to make a movie choice, consider Rocky Balboa, you will not be sorry.

DEATH, THE GREAT EQUALIZER!

There is no more powerful position in our world than President. He makes decisions that affect every corner of the earth, unlike any other leader. He flies in Air Force One, has his meals prepared for him. He is guarded at all times and his every wish is taken care of. You would be hard pressed to find an equal in the contemporary world. The President, though elected, is more like a king of old, who would rule the entire world from his throne. The one thing that is true about these king like men is that they too die! We are in the midst of the mourning and remembering of President Gerald Fords passing. It is a good time to reflect on the reality that is death.

Death is no respecter of persons, it is an appointment that all must keep. Unless you are a part of the time of the Lords return, you will taste death. It is sure and certain. It comes quickly as anyone who is in the process of dying will tell you. I am sure President Ford at 93 felt as if life just flew by. That is exactly how the Word of God describes life, and evening shadow, a morning mist, a vapor, here and gone quickly. But Gods Word also tells us that as short as life is, that is how great death is for those who know the Lord Jesus Christ. It is something to be looked forward to, seen as precious in the sight of the Lord, gain! How can death be gain? It is gain only for followers of Christ and it is gain because it brings us to our eternity with the Lord where we will live with Him forever. For those who would leave this earth rejecting Christ it is not gain, but a forever sentence to Hell!

So as you read this, understand that you too will die soon. It does not matter how powerful you are, or how poor you are. You are going to die, like Kings, Presidents and the homeless all have and will. The certainty is not in question, the only question is will it be gain for you?

PEACE WHEN?

It is interesting to note that yesterday around the world people and leaders were calling for peace. From the Pope to the Queen of England to even some from the Middle East there was a call for peace. What is it that could motivate people from all races, nations, tribes and tongues to think of and even call for peace? The Lord Jesus Christ. There is not another religious celebration that created such an environment as the birth of Christ. The problem is that the peace that is spoken of is often misunderstood. There is never going to be peace in the Middle East, particularly as it pertains to Israel, not until Christ comes back. In fact there will be a lasting peace in the world until return of Christ.

The peace that is available presently is a greater peace and that is a peace between God and man. That is the most important peace that is needed by every person walking the face of the earth today and it is available today. Through Christ you can have peace with God. The Bible tells us that we are all natural enemies of God without Jesus, but when we have received the Lord Jesus Christ as the owner of our lives, our Lord and the forgiver of our sins, our Savior, we transition from Gods enemies to His children. It is then we have and know the peace that passes all understanding, peace with God. Any other peace is temporal until Jesus comes back, which He will and then He will with power and fury bring a peace that will last throughout eternity!

DO NOT FORGET THOSE WHO WEAR THE CROWN OF SUFFERING!

As we celebrate the Christmas season let us not forget the reality that we have brothers and sisters around the world who are being severely persecuted for believing in and following Emmanuel, God with us, the Lord Jesus Christ. I give you two recent, common examples of what goes on continually, from the wires;

"December 21 (Compass Direct News) – Hindu extremists launched two known attacks against Christians this week, beating a couple in the northern state of Haryana yesterday and assaulting pastor in the central state of Chhattisgarh on Sunday (December 17). About 50 Bajrang Dal extremists attacked the Christian couple, Rakesh Sen and Suman Sen, at about 8 a.m. yesterday at their home in Lakarpur, Faridabad district, Haryana. The attackers were upset at the couple for regularly allowing their New Life Fellowship church to meet in their home for Sunday worship:

In Raipur, the capital of Chhattisgarh, a group of about 50 extremists from the Dharam Raksha Sena (DRS or Army for Religious Protection) beat an independent pastor on Sunday (December 17) and accused him of forced conversions.
They attacked Philip Jagdalla as he returned to his home after teaching Sunday school at his church, according to a statement released by the Chhattisgarh Christian Forum (CCF)."

These dear saints are paying an extreme price for just going to church, and teaching Sunday School! Most of us will celebrate these next few days with family and friends. We will gather, fellowship, laugh, sing, and just have a great time around the occasion of our God coming to earth. But others of the body will suffer, be jailed or worse, at the same time we are celebrating. Is it wrong for us to celebrate? Absolutely not, we should, to His glory. But in the midst of our celebration, it is good and right for us to remember and pray for those in much different circumstances.

We do not know why God in His sovereignty put most of us in very easy living conditions, compared to most of the rest of the world. We do not know why we live in a place where there is plenty to eat and shelter is not a concern for most of us. We do not know why we are able to still meet for church without threat of imprisonment or bodily harm. We do not know why we do not need to fear for the lives of our children every moment of every day. We do not know these things and more. But we do know that to whom much is given much is required, so this Christmas weekend, remember those to whom not as much has been given. And be sure to give much of yourself to the things of God and the God of all things!

NOT YOUR TYPICAL NATIVITY SCENE!

The homosexual activists in Italy have done the following, from the wires;

"ROME (Reuters) - Two leftists in Italy's ruling coalition on Wednesday outraged fellow lawmakers by placing four dolls representing homosexual couples near the baby Jesus in the official nativity scene in parliament.
The two parliamentarians from the small "Rose in the Fist" party said their gesture was to promote the legalization of gay marriage and granting legal recognition to unmarried couples
Each of the two doll couples, which parliamentary ushers removed after a few minutes, wore miniature placards with slogans in favor of gay rights."

There is no depth too low for them to travel in order to further their agenda. Anyone and anything are fair game to the homosexual activists, in their rabid war on society. To desecrate something like the nativity scene is not a problem for them, as they do not show the respect and tolerance for others that they demand for themselves. There is something special about the nativity scene. There is the display of Christ coming to this earth, Emmanuel, God with us. To take this symbol and prostitute it for the advancement of gay rights, exposes these people as the haters of God that they are. The power of God and His grace and mercy are such that even these haters of God could be forgiven of their sins and adopted as children of God through the blood of Jesus Christ, were they to repent and believe on the Lord. Amazing Grace indeed!!

LETS CELEBRATE EVERYONE?

Time Magazine has come out with their Person of the Year for 2006 and it is "You". By that they mean everyone and anyone that according to the AP "who were using or creating content on the World Wide Web". Whether that is correct or not, the selection is a great snapshot of the times we live in. It is a selection that celebrates everything indiscriminately. Without reservation, qualification, or explanation, all are honored. Those who have created pornographic images are honored as much as those who have given their lives trying to stop the genocide of Darfur. Those who have used the internet to create less than reputable businesses that sell less than reputable products are honored as much as the brave men and women who have given their lives on the battlefield this past year.

You see this is the America we live in. Understand this is the World. There is no longer distinction in peoples lives. The absolutes are gone along with basic right and wrong. And this is great news! Before you conclude that I have finally lost it, the great news is that this means for true believers in Christ, your life will be that bright contrast it is supposed to be. As you make distinctions, as you live out the absolutes of Gods Word, you will be that light in the dark world. Because the truth is the greatest news of all is the most absolute, intolerant, exclusive, distinctive ever heard. That God forgives sinners through Jesus Christ. His death was the payment for sin and Christ is the only way to the Father, and no one gets to God but through Jesus.

All are not celebrated by God. Those that are His through Christ are celebrated and will be forever in the New Heaven and the New Earth. But those who would leave this earth rejecting Christ are damned to a forever Hell to live under the torment of the Wrath of an Angry God. The most loving thing a true believer can do is share that truth and live it. Unlike Time Magazine, God makes distinctions!

A TIME TO PRAY NOT STRATEGIZE!

Here is the good and bad in politics. Sen. Tim Johnson of South Dakota underwent emergency surgery on December 13 after suffering a brain hemorrhage. He is a Democrat and if he were to have to step down from the Senate control would go back to the Republican party, putting an end to the Democratic party's control of Congress. The good in politics is seen in comments from people like Tom Delay former house whip for the Republicans. He refused to comment on the politics of the issue and encouraged people to pray for Sen. Johnson and his family. Delay reminded people that now is not the time to be looking at the political ramifications of this situation. The bad is seen in the many pundits who have blogged and written columns and spoken on the cable news shows about the politics of it all. Punditing on what this means to the Republicans and the Democrats and the President. It is an example of all that is wrong in our country.

Sen. Johnson is a man, a husband, a father, a son, a human being, before he is a Democrat. It is the lowest rung on the ladder to ignore the reality of this man's suffering and the suffering of his family. There should be no talk about the ramifications. There should be no mention of how Sen. Joe Biden in 1988 was seriously ill and held on to his seat. There should be no mention of what happens if there is a tie in the Senate and how the Vice President breaks all ties and thus gives the Republicans the advantage. Every person who has gone down that road, publicly or privately, be they Democrat, Republican, or Independent, they should be ashamed of themselves. What is needed is for people to pray for this man and his family. That God would give them all strength as they go through this trying time. That the Lord would draw Sen. Johnsons to Himself through all of this, and allow his family to see His glory. So Sen. Johnson, I wish you well and am praying for you and your family. When we are weak we best see and feel and know His strength. May God bless you sir!

HELP, I AM AN INTERNET ADDICT? YOU HAVE TO BE KIDDING!

This one takes the cake, from the wires;

"James Pacenza was spending too much time in Internet chat rooms, in some of them discussing sex. He goes so far as to call his interest in inappropriate Web sites a form of addiction that stems from the posttraumatic stress disorder he's suffered since returning from Vietnam. Whatever it's called, Pacenza's chat-room habit cost him his job.

After 19 years at IBM's East Fishkill plant, Pacenza was fired in May, 2003, after a fellow employee noticed discussion of a sex act on a chat room open on Pacenza's computer. IBM (IBM) maintains that logging onto the Web site was a violation of its business conduct guidelines and a misuse of company property and that it was well within its rights to terminate Pacenza's employment. "

Now you say what is wrong with that? It seems quite normal and quite within the rights of IBM. Ah, but you are one of the rare breed of normal thinking human beings. Mr. Pacenza is suing IBM for 5 million dollars for wrongful termination based on his contention that he is addicted to the internet. That is correct, his lawyer is going to attempt to prove that internet addiction is a legitimate addiction along the lines of alcoholism. Can you imagine the possibilities?

The bigger problem evidenced here is the ever increasing lack of responsibility that people feel for their actions. No one is just simply responsible. We have become a culture that shifts the blame to everyone and everything else. It is our upbringing, it is our parents, it is our lack of schooling, it is the fact we were abused, it is whatever we can come up with to deflect the responsibility to someone or something else. Which enables us to never have to look in the mirror and deal with the reality that we are at fault and therefore we must do something to correct the situation. This is why we are a dependent needy culture addicted to addictions. We spend more time diagnosing and defending our addictions than we do dealing with them.

The reality is that this is nothing new, in fact this problem is as old as the beginning of man. As it was Adam who blamed Eve, who then blamed Satan for the sins they had committed. No one has wanted to take responsibility since the garden of Eden. But with Christ we can become a people and a culture that admits wrongs, sees them as sin, repents in front of God and then takes the necessary steps to correct those wrongs. To live that way is to stand out brightly as salt and light in a dark world. Because it is very very different from the "let me go through my family tree and find who is to blame" society we live in. It is very different from the "Mcdonalds is at fault for me being overweight" society we live in. It is very different indeed!

THIS IS A SHAME!

And here is everything that is wrong with the Evangelical church. It is in the news today that there is a fight in the Graham family about where to bury Billy Graham when he passes away. Franklin, one of his sons wants to have him buried at a library/theme park place, where people would take tours and see memorabilia, among other things. The tour of the place would end at the foot of Mr. Graham's grave. Patricia Cornwell the famous author recounts the conversation she was a part of with the Graham family over this divisive issue. Here from the wires is Cornwell as she recounts her talking with Mr. Graham about this idea;

"The whole purpose of this evangelistic experience is fundraising," Cornwell says to Billy Graham. "I know who you are and you are not that place. It's a mockery. People are going to laugh. Please don't be buried there."

At that point Ned, another son of Billy Graham chimed in and attempted to persuade his father to honor his mother and Graham's wife Ruth's wishes, which was to have them buried in the hills of North Carolina. I do not know everything there is to know about this story but if it is true that Franklin Graham is attempting to use his fathers death and burial place as a fundraising ministry opportunity that would be a shame. I do know enough of the story to know that right now it is a shame and shameful that this family with this great name has allowed themselves to be in the media this way.

What their father spent a lifetime to build, it seems the children will be able to destroy in much less time! And that truly is a shame!

WHO LET THE KIDS DRIVE AGAIN?

The Democrats are on the eve of taking control of Congress, the House and the Senate. It is being hailed as a time of change, the American people's voice being heard. And so it is with great anticipation that people await the beginning of the great "change" that will be taking place. Here is your first good indication of what to expect from the Democrats as the majority party, from the wires;

"WASHINGTON (CNN) -- Rep. Silvestre Reyes of Texas, who incoming House Speaker Nancy Pelosi has tapped to head the Intelligence Committee when the Democrats take over in January, failed a quiz of basic questions about al Qaeda and Hezbollah, two of the key terrorist organizations the intelligence community has focused on since the September 11, 2001 attacks.
When asked by CQ National Security Editor Jeff Stein whether al Qaeda is one or the other of the two major branches of Islam -- Sunni or Shiite -- Reyes answered "they are probably both," then ventured "Predominantly -- probably Shiite."
That is wrong. Al Qaeda was founded by Osama bin Laden as a Sunni organization and views Shiites as heretics.
Reyes could also not answer questions put by Stein about Hezbollah, a Shiite group on the U.S. list of terrorist organizations that is based in Southern Lebanon"

This, my friends, is your new leader of the Intelligence Committee as of January 2007. A few things to note,once again, right out of the chute the Democrats are shown to be ignorant and careless when it comes to National Security. Second, this once again affirms the lack of leadership one can expect from Nancy Pelosi. She is simply out of her league and unable to handle the big stage. And finally what we are seeing is what happens when you allow the children to play with adult stuff. It is like watching a child attempt to drive a standard shift car.

But do not worry , the adults will take control again in 2008. It will not take long for the American public to realize the car drives a lot smoother when an adult is behind the wheel!

WHAT EXACTLY WERE THEY STUDYING?

I wasn't going to do this, I had resolved to stay out of it as far as blogging is concerned, but as it turns out, I cannot keep myself from blogging about the Iraq Study Group, the report from the Baker-Hamilton commission. That is the bi-partisan group of elder statesmen and women who came together to look at the situation in Iraq and offer up some solutions. This was a real group of heavyweights that had many people optimistically looking to them for ideas, and expecting great ones! While I will not bore you with the details from the seventy nine recommendations, I will characterize their overall solution with one word, FOOLISH! Actually I would add another word, NAIVE! Actually one more word comes to mind, ARROGANT! Actually a lot of other words come to mind that I won't bore you with.

Instead let me summarize the basic point of their findings. What the commission is asking for is the beginning of a pull out of all forces of the United States from Iraq by early 2008. The thinking of this "blue ribbon" panel is that the Iraqi Army and Police that they report is poorly trained and equipped are the ones we can turn the country over to. Now why does it matter? Well if we leave too early the government will collapse. Why does that matter? The people that will move in and take over will be the likes of Moqtada al-Sadr and his Mahdi Army of 60,000 fighters. Why does that matter? It is willingly inviting Iran and others who hate us to come in and take over Iraq. Why does that matter? It will be a public defeat of the great superpower that will have placed our hated enemies in control as victors. Why does that matter? It stengthens the resolve of our enemies and the attacks are stepped up and become more frequently on our own land.

I could go on and on but it would be disaster. We have to win in Iraq, or at least give the impression when we do turn over power that it is on our terms and looks as close to victory as possible. Unfortunately it means a greater commitment to force than we have been willing to do under President Bush. The only candidate for 2008 that has been consistent on this message and in my opinion on the right side of it is Sen. John McCain, who I disagree with on a lot of other issues. He seems to understand how it is we go about transitioning this mess into something that befits a super power.

The other incredible recommendation from the Baker-Hamilton commission is to negotiate with countries like Iran. Make them a player at the table. A country whose leader hates Jews, and has publicly called for the removal of Israel from the map! We are supposed to look the other way as Iran gets nuclear weapons in defiance of the United Nations. We are supposed to look the other way as they fund Hezbollah and other terrorist organizations, and come to them asking for them to help us straighten out Iraq? Did anyone check just what is was the Baker-Hamilton commission was drinking? If we follow the dictates from this inept commission we can count the days left as a super power. Our days will be numbered as we turn our back on the only true friend we have in the region, Israel!

What is needed is a strong statement from our President followed by strong action. There needs to be a bold move that tells the world that the United Stares is still the super power of the world. We have the technology we have the weaponry, it is time that we found the will!

THE ROAD TO DENIAL!

The people over at www.cafepress.com have gone beyond the human decency standard with their latest hot seller.The most popular t-shirt offered on the online shopping site is a shirt with the inscription "My grandparents went to Auschwitz and all I got was this lousy t-shirt" printed on the front. Also printed on the shirt is the gruesome inscription "Arbeit Macht Frei", which was the inscription that met deportees at the gates of the German concentration camps. To their credit they pulled the products off the net after the public outcry, but this is more than bad judgment. This is an attack on the Holocaust, a denial of the real pain that it still brings to the survivors. There are still some survivors in the world and they are the last line of defense against not only the mockery of their pain and suffering but a total denial of it ever happening.

While this company is selling these pornographic t-shirts referencing the Holocaust, the President of Iran who many have been duped by with his latest propaganda letter, is getting ready to host a conference with "scholars" from around the world to consider the question, "did the holocaust really happen". How anyone could ascribe legitimacy or sanity to this man is a subject for another blog, but what is clear is that innocent blood that was shed, the families that were torn apart, the children who had to run off in the middle of the night, those that were gassed in the horror chambers are all being mocked and denied the decency of historical respect.

As bad, is the sobering truth that denying the Holocaust will mean denying history. To deny history is to forget history, and to forget history is to not learn from history, and to not learn from history is to repeat the same mistakes of history. Could the holocaust happen again? Could their rise up a leader who would seek to exterminate all those who were not in line with his ideology? You know the answer!

MORE ON OUR NEW MUSLIM CONGRSSMAN!

Consider the following quotes before I reveal their source and their relevance;

"the U.S system of democracy as "the antithesis of Islam" and argued no man has the right to make laws outside Allah's laws expressed in the Quran. "

"There is a basic difference between Islam and this form of democracy," he says. "The basic difference is that in Islam it is [Allah's] law as expressed in the Quran and the Sunna that is the supreme law within the limits of which people have the right to legislate. "

"No one can be a Muslim who makes or freely accepts or believes that anyone has the right to make or accept legislation that is contrary to that divine law"

"there is absolutely no compromise: Any belief that contradicts Islam is false."

The source is Omar Ahmad Shahin, President of North American Imams Federation who lectures at the same American Open University as guess who? Recently elected Minnesota Congressman Ellison. Ellison spoke to the North American Imams Federation, or NAIF, at the group's Nov. 19 conference in Minneapolis, and also spoke at a breakout session for the American Open University, the radical Islamic school that trains many of NAIF's more than 150 members, who control mosques across America. Ellison also met with New York imam Siraj Wahhaj, an unindicted co-conspirator in the 1993 World Trade Center bombing.)

From the wires here are some more issues concerning those Ellison has been affiliated with;

"NAIF-affiliated American Open University, has raised a number of red flags at the FBI, including the fact that:

It's founder and chairman, Jaafar Idris, is a Sudanese radical on the Saudi payroll who was recently deported for visa fraud and spreading extremism in America. Idris, like NAIF's Shahin, studied Islam in Saudi Arabia and Sudan and says he has "great respect" for the father of the purist Wahhabi movement followed by Osama bin Laden – Saudi theologian Muhammad ibn Abd al-Wahhab.

A co-founder of the school, Salah As-Sawi, is a professor at Al-Azhar in Egypt, a bastion of the dangerous Muslim Brotherhood, which gave rise to Hamas and al-Qaida. In fact, American Open University is a fully accredited satellite campus of Al-Azhar. As-Sawi worked with Idris at the Institute of Arabic and Islamic Sciences in Washington, a propaganda center set up by the Saudi Embassy to spread Wahhabism in America. It was raided after 9/11 and is still under surveillance by federal authorities.

Alumni of the "university" include convicted members of the Virginia Jihad Network, who trained to kill American troops overseas.

The school has received funding from a suspected al-Qaida front that has expressly advocated suicide attacks and using airliners as weapons. The Islamic Assembly of North America, or IANA, is bankrolled by the Saudi religious minister who stayed at the same Washington-area hotel as the hijackers the night before they attacked the Pentagon. (He feigned a heart attack when FBI agents tried to question him and was subsequently evacuated with other Saudi officials on White House-approved escape flights after 9/11.)

Oh yeah, the transcripts of Ellisons talk and breakout session are not available to the public. Anyone concerned yet?

WILL CONGRESS OPEN ONE DAY WITH A PRAYER TOWARDS MECCA?

To update an earlier blog Minnesota Democrat Keith Ellison who was falsely reported to be sworn in with his hand on the Koran, is going to use the Koran for the publicity picture. The earlier report by news agencies was false because the new Congressmen are sworn in as a group, so no one puts their hand on anything. But there is a picture taken of each new member with their hand traditionally on the Bible. Ellison has said he will use the Koran instead of the Bible, so we are back the big question, does this matter. Do you have a problem with this man breaking years of tradition? Do you have a problem with his using a book whose teachings call for the overthrow of the infidels, ie.. all non-Muslims? Some would want to pose the same question if Mitt Romney became President and wanted to use the Book of Mormon.

As I stated in the earlier blog on this topic, the difference with the Koran and the Muslim faith in particular is there is the call for conversion by force. We have seen Americans have their heads chopped off, we have seen television reporters kidnapped and forced to convert at the point of the sword. So what statement is being made when Ellison uses the Koran for his publicity picture? Who were the ones dancing in the streets when the planes hit the Twin Towers? The answer is the Arab street. So to update, an elected American Congressman is determined to use the Koran in place of the Bible. That picture is more than symbolic, it is a picture of things to come. And you can be sure if and when the picture happens there will again be dancing in the Arab street!

BLINDED BY FRIENDSHIP?

It is amazing to me that President Vladimir Putin is seen by our President as an ally. You might remember in 2001 that President Bush said he had looked into the eyes of Mr. Putin and got a sense of his soul during their meeting. I would have to agree with Sen. Graham of S.C. and Sen. Biden of Del., who both were on the Sunday shows yesterday voicing their concerns over Putin. How is it that a man who is KGB to the core, has aligned himself with Iran in selling them weapons, and is lending them experts in technology, is seen as a friend to our country? Is it really as simple as coming to Crawford Texas and hanging out with our President? Is that all you need to do to become a favored ally, in spite of the clear record of your country under your administration? Add to this the suspicious deaths of those who have publicly opposed Putin and you think at a minimum there should some level of skepticism about him from our President.

At times you have to wonder and hope that the President has more information that he is relying on than we are aware of. While I am sure that is most often true, it also proves out that the general public often has as good or a better take on things than those in power. Time will tell if this was a mistake by our President. If he has miscalculated it will be a big one that could mean the lives of many Americans, some who might be reading this blog today. I believe that President Putin has one goal and that is to make Russia a superpower once again. If that means aligning with the Devil himself I do not believe Putin would blink an eye. Now I must admit I have not looked into his eyes and received a sense of his soul. I only have years of behavior as well as current examples that lead me to the obvious conclusion that Putin is an enemy of the United States. The sooner we understand that, or get someone in office who understands that the better off we all will be!

PLEASE PLACE YOUR HAND ON THE KORAN AND REPEAT AFTER ME?

As a member of the 110th U.S. Congress on Jan. 4, 2007, Congressman-elect Keith Ellison (D-Minn.) will be sworn into office. Mr. Ellision is the first Muslim elected to office, and the rumor was that he would want to have his hand on the Koran and not the Bible at the swearing in. A moot point in practice as the Reps are all sworn in as a group and do not place their hands on any book. A remarkable lack of understanding and research by the many news agencies that have reported the story, but that is another topic for another time. There is a relevant question that arises from this discussion, what happens as more and more Muslims are elected to office? Is that a problem, should we see it as a problem? Clearly we have Jews, Catholics, Born Again Christians and even Mormons, (Orin Hatch, Mitt Romney ring a bell) holding office in our nation currently.Why should a Muslim holding office be a concern, or should it be a concern?

I believe it is of the greatest concern to see Muslims begin to take office in politics. The difference from all the other faiths mentioned above and the Muslim faith, is that those other belief systems do not teach to take over the world by force. They do not teach to proselytize by the sword. Of course it is a great concern to see people who are taught to hate the infidel, ie any non Muslims, take office. Of course it is a great concern to see haters of Jews take offices that could very well vote on the security of Israel. Of course we should be concerned that people who follow a belief system that encouraged lying to further the agenda of world domination, will be holding national office.

To not be gravely concerned that Muslims are now being voted into office is to be asleep at the wheel. Some would cry out, "that is profiling", to which I would reply, " it absolutely is", and it is based on the teachings of their faith. We have every right, and I would suggest are obligated to understand just what it is Muslims believe and are teaching, as we make decisions about voting for them or not. It does not take much time or research to understand it is a religion of violence that is looking to take over the world, particularly Israel and America. The next time you see a Muslim on the ballot remember this common saying among the Muslims, "first Saturday and then Sunday". The interpretation is simple, first they conquer the Jews and then the Christians. Is that the belief system you want in our Congress, in the Judiciary, or at the Executive Branch? For that matter, is that the belief system you want on your local school board?

blog you later,
