I love this, from the wires;

"Beta carotene and vitamins A and E, antioxidant supplements taken by millions to fight disease, may actually raise the risk of death, a review of 68 studies on nearly a quarter-million people by a study from the Center for Clinical Intervention Research at Denmark's Copenhagen University Hospital. released Tuesday."

Now there are the usual arguments and dissension when any study comes out. That the testing was done on people already sick, it does not make sense etc. But there is something noteworthy here and that is that no one really ever seems to know what is good for you. Think about it, during your lifetime how many contradictions and flip flops have you seen? (no offense John Kerry) Coffee is bad, no Coffee is good. Eggs are bad, no eggs are good no they are bad. Chocolate is bad, no chocolate is good it has ant-oxidants in it. Wine is bad, no wine is good in moderation for your heart. Meat is bad, no it is good, no it is bad. Carbs are good, carbs are bad, now they are on the rise again as being good. You get the point.

The point is that you can not live your life around the latest greatest finding, fad, or study when it comes to food, or anything for that matter. The fact we put too much emphasis on and give to much credit to the so called experts is seen in the way people will radically change their lifestyles over one study. Not bothering to do any research and find out who paid for the study and what are they really trying to accomplish. A little research goes a long way. Personally I would suggest relaxing with a bottle of Diet Coke and a box of Swiss Cake Rolls, the latest studies from the "Tom Crouse Institute of Living" suggests that though you might die from them, you will die happy!

blog you later,
