This would be funny if it were not so sad. John Edwards the candidate for the people, the populist who is out for the poor while living in one of the biggest mansions in his state, has more egg to wipe off of his face. Last year Edwards spoke to a crowd of 1,787 at the taxpayer-funded University of California at Davis on Jan. 9th. His fee for the speech? $55,000.00! That is correct, fifty five thousand dollars, but that is not the best part. The best part is the topic he spoke on, "Poverty, the great moral issue facing America". You could not make this up if you tried. He charges that much money for a speech in which he waxes eloquently about poverty.

While I do not need to lead you to any more of the obvious and sad conclusions about Edwards, it does bring up an important issue. This coming election is one of the most critical in the history of our country. The stakes have never been higher, as we have never had an enemy as devout and radical as the Islamists. We need a President with character, one that is true to his convictions and will lead our great nation with courage and conviction. When a candidate is exposed as Edwards and others have, you would do well to cross them off your potential list. Your vote does matter and it is your right and responsbility to cast it with as much knowledge as possible. Time will reveal more and more about those presently in the field, and those who possible still may get in. With Edwards it is easy to see the blatant hypocrisy, for some others it might take a little more time for their true character to be shown. Wait, watch, pray and then cast your vote!

blog you later,
