This is sensitivity gone mad, it is political correctness in turbo mode and it is absurd! A 13 year old boy has been suspended from an Arizona public school for three days due to his drawing something that resembled a gun. Actually it does not even really look like a gun, but that is beside the point. Guess what? Thirteen year old boys do draw things like guns and cars and other things that boys are created by God to be interested in. But we have become so sensitized and programmed and de-gendered (if that is even a word) that we are literally suspending kids from school for acting like the boys that they are created to be.

This child was not a problem child. From all accounts he was and is a good kid who was simply doodling, but even if he was drawing a gun, so what? His mom said her son was just idly drawing pictures, and ended up with a fake laser, from the wires;

"He was just basically doodling and not thinking a lot about it," she said. "We're not advocates for guns. We don't have guns in our home. We don't promote the use of guns. My son was just basically doodling on a piece of paper."

School officials who initially banned the student for five days lowered the penalty to three days after discussing the situation with the boy's father.

"I just can't believe that there wasn't another way to resolve this," Mosteller told the Associated Press. "He's so upset. The school made him feel like he committed a crime. They are doing more damage than good."

There are theological implications to all of this. We have lost sight of the beauty and glory that is Gods design. Boys and girls are created different by Him. And instead of seeking to create a robotic society of cookie cutter politically correct kids, we should be celebrating His design in all of its glory!
