As we consider our world and the ideological struggle that fuels the many wars around the world, consider the following quote;

"The civilization of Europe, America, and Australia exists today at all only because of the victories of civilized man over the enemies of civilization... [including] those of Charles Martel in the 8th century [over Arab jihadists] and those of John Sobieski in the 17th century [over Ottoman Turkish jihadists]. During the thousand years that included the careers of the Frankish soldier [Martel] and the Polish king [Sobieski], the Christians of Asia and Africa proved unable to wage successful war with the Moslem conquerors; and in consequence Christianity practically vanished from the two continents; and today nobody can find in them any 'social values' whatever, in the sense in which we use the words, so far as the sphere of Mohammedan influence [is]... concerned."

A relevant quote that seems as if it could have been said yesterday, although there would have to have been someone with the courage to say that yesterday, and thus we see that the quote is from 1916 and the author is Theodore Roosevelt! If you do any study at all you will realize the struggle today around the world with Islam is the same struggle that has been there for centuries. And the reality is that the future will contain this very same struggle until the Lord Jesus Christ returns.

With the truth of that ringing in our ears, let us look for politicians with the courage to speak the truth and conduct their offices based on the truth. And by the same token let those of us who know Jesus Christ as our Lord and Savior seek to be the salt and light we are called to be, particularly to the Muslim world!
