In the midst of the historical record turnout in the Iowa caucus, while the voters of Iowa voted for a black candidate for President, another historical event, another event was going on that has become tragically normal and even acceptable. That would be the continued demise of Brittney Spears. Last night was another in a long line of incidents where the police and medical people were called to her house. While it is hard to know what to believe, what is clear is that she was taken to the hospital and seems to be being held under the assumption of substance abuse, with a potential to commit suicide. The question becomes how long will people sit idly by and watch this young woman kill herself? On the day she kills herself, which is a coming event, should those around her not do something, all of those who have made money from her will be to blame.

While you cannot protect someone from themselves, you can do all that you can do to not enable or promoted the demise. The paparazzi, her hangers on, and who knows who else, will all have blood on their hands on the day of her death. The one hope Miss Spears has is to truly receive the Lord Jesus Christ as her Lord and Savior, anything less will be a band aid that puts off the inevitable. Having said that, the best thing for her would be for the paparazzi to stop covering her, something they and she would probably hate. The best thing for those who truly love her to do is to put her somewhere where she can truly sober up. Once those two things happen, and they will not barring a miracle from God, then some believer somewhere needs to get to her and give her the true gospel of the Lord Jesus Christ. Not the health and wealth heresy, not the feel good do not worry about sin positive thinkng heresy, but the true gospel that we are all great sinners in need of a great Savior. Miss Spears, that included you and Jesus Christ can forgive sins and sinners like you, the answer is to beg Him to do that.

Apart from this, we will one day hear it on the radio, see it on the television, get it in a text that Brittney Spears is dead, and then it will be too late!

blog you later,
