IGNORANCE BEYOND MEASURE FROM PEOPLE WHO SHOULD KNOW BETTER!

The American Counseling Association has come out with an incredible mandate for homosexuality. See for yourself from the wires;

"The official policy of the ACA is that counselors asked by clients for help in changing their sexual orientation must offer only "gay affirmative" arguments. If the client persists, counselors must explore the "religious influences that underpin homophobia that may be harming the client."

In other words you may no longer speak to clients about the need or ability to alter their behavior from homosexual to heterosexual, even if they ask! We are heading very quickly to the place where any perceived anti-homosexual rhetoric will become a crime punishable by fines, imprisonment or worse. The counselors with the ACA are being instructed to look at the religious influences that underpin homophobia? I hope you hear the screaming pre-supposition in that statement. This means the starting point for counselors will now be that homosexuality is normal and appropiate, and if a client feels wrong about it and would like to talk about a way out, the counselor is now mandated to counsel them in ways that would keep them in such behavior.

While there are protests coming from people such as Dr. Warren Throckmorton, the Alliance Defense Fund and others, it is simply just another marker on this long decadent road to Sodom and Gomorrah. Soon and very soon there will be laws that will forbid people to declare homosexuality as sin. The question then will become who is willing to pay the price in order to share the gospel? You cannot truly share the gospel without talking about sin. Homosexuality while one of many sins, is a sin that needs the blood of Christ to forgive it. Regardless of the American Counseling Association or any other governing body, sin is sin, and there is only one remedy, the Cross of Christ. Are you willing to pay the fine, or even do the time that will soon go along with that message?
