A MUST SEE FILM, THAT ISLAMISTS DO NOT WANT YOU TO SEE!

Geert Wilders a Dutch film maker has produce a short film "Fitna", in which he lays out in graphic style the danger of Islam. His desire is obviously to awaken people from their slumber when it comes to what exactly Islamists are out to accomplish. Which is to conquer the world, without exception. It has appeared on Dutch and London based websites, and now, of course people are pulling it off of the web, due to fear of what will happen. As always Islamists are seeking to rule by fear and terror. It should be telling when a groups response is not to engage in the arena of ideas, but rather to use the sword, which is the dictate of their holy book and "prophet"

For those who follow Christ we know the answer is Christ. Islam cannot stand in the face of the risen Savior. They have no match for that, and are stunned when they realize this Savior can be their own, should they repent of their sins and believe on Him.

In the earthly geo-political realm, it would be a great idea for people of all nations, particularly in the west, to understand that this is an enemy that is not going away on their own. Which leaves one of two choices, submit to Islam or stand against them. The choice for most of you,for now, is yours. Even that could change in a moment. Here is the link that should allow you to view this short film. Make sure if you have younger children to be sure to not allow them to watch, as some of the images are graphic. Graphic but true!

SEMPER FI, REGARDLESS OF AGE!

Every now and then there is a story that makes you smile, and today is one of those days. Yesterday in Santa Rosa California an 84 year old man was walking home with two grocery bags in his hand, when a teenager approached him. The teen had a knife and told the elderly man to give him his wallet or he would get hurt. The 84 year old man told the boy he was a former Marine and had teen threatened in war many times and to leave him alone. The teen continued with the threat, and the old man told him not to take another step towards him. Which of course the teen did, and thus the 84 year old Marine with one kick to the groin dropped the kid to the ground. At which point the old timer picked up his two grocery bags and went home. Once home he called the incident in to the police. Just a short true story to put a smile on your face!!

HOW DO YOU VIEW MARRIAGE?

There is startling news from the others side of the pond today. The number of men and women getting married is at the lowest level is has ever been since they started tracking such things one hundred and fifty years ago. Some attribute this to the Labour's benefits system, which disregards the status of husbands and wives and pays parents extra to stay single. Those from this party have a term, "Marriage Lite" which means living together outside of marriage, and it is advocated by many.

You may mark this down as a moment in time where you were able to see the future. A lack of marriage in a society is the beginning of the end. It is the break down of the family which leads to the breakdown of the community which leads to the breakdown of the state which leads to the breakdown and end of the country. Once the family unit is broken apart and rendered meaningless, the rest of the country will follow suit.

God is the one who designed the family unit. It was His idea from the beginning that a man and a woman would leave their father and mother to be together in marriage. That alone tells us all we need to know about the glory and need for marriage in our world. To intentionally work to end something that God has designed and created is to work directly against God. To do that is to end up in a place of despair, destruction and damnation, as God will not be mocked. Much better is to follow and honor the order and design that the Creator has set forth. Britain has made their choice, and soon we will see their demise, unless God's people enter the fray to stem the tide.

The question for the rest of us is how do we value marriage? Is it the butt of our jokes, the target of our scorn? Or is it held up as great and glorious, a tremendous gift from God for the enjoyment of His people and the glory of His name? A critical question to ask yourself as the attitude shown today might be the reality that is tomorrow!

TRAGIC!

Stephanie Kuleba is an 18 year old cheerleader, in fact the Captain of her cheerleading squad. A popular girl, loved by many and today she is dead! It seems that while she was undergoing surgery there were complications that led to this tragedy. She was having cosmetic surgery to correct an inverted nipple and asymmetrical breasts — a procedure that involves implants. And therein lies the problem and all of the obvious questions, as there is a growing trend of young girls opting for this type of surgery, evidencing that they do not understand true beauty.

Why in the world would an eighteen year old have elective breast surgery? How far gone is this culture of ours when young girls with their lives ahead of them are making these critical life changing decisions? There is a screaming need for adults to come along side these young people to teach them what it means to be beautiful. God tells us in His Word that a woman's beauty is the life she leads because she loves Jesus Christ. The life that is an overflow of the love she has for Jesus is a beautiful life in Gods eyes, and that needs to be enough.

God looks on the inside while man looks on the outside. Women of all ages need to remember or learn this great principle, to stem the tidal wave of shallowness that is leaving our young girls anorexic, bulimic, or dead! Moms need to model this to their daughters and Dads need to implant it deep into their daughters heart that she is, always has been and always will be beautiful, because of who she is, not because of how she looks. There might not be a more important task for parents today, given the cess pool of culture our kids swim in each day. What is also important today is to pray for this girl's family, that God would be gracious and merciful to them as they grieve the loss of their precious love one.

ARE YOU MENTALLLY ILL?

The American Journal of Psychiatry is known as a leading journal in its field, for whatever that is worth. In one of the latest issues there is breaking news of a new mental illness on the horizon. In its service to the community the journal has an article in it that speaks of, and I kid you not, sending excessive texts and emails as a new mental illness! From the wires;

"The article, by Dr Jerald Block, said there were four symptoms: suffering from feelings of withdrawal when a computer cannot be accessed; an increased need for better equipment; need for more time to use it; and experiencing the negative repercussions of their addiction."

While it is true we live in a fast paced world that is ever changing in technology, making it more and more convenient to communicate with one another, regardless of where we are in the world, this doc says it is mental illness to do that too much. Here is what this means; Everyone I know, including myself is mentally ill! Now I now some of you are thinking that where I am concerned that is not a surprise, but according to this study most of you are mentally ill as well.

Where and when will this preoccupation with diagnosing everything and everyone with some condition stop? Sure, some people spend too much time texting and emailing, but that does not deem them mentally ill! How about this as a diagnosis, they spend too much time texting and emailing! I am sure the next event in this new area of illness will be some predatory pharmaceutical company coming up with a new drug to sell to people to help them with their "problem", making millions off of them in the process.

The ones who are mentally ill are the people who write articles like this and those who believe them! But the good news is that the prescription is much cheaper and healthier, stop reading and believing such rubbish!! I would like to write more but I have to check my email.

THIS IS A FRIDAY TO TRULY BE THANK GOD FOR!

Today is celebrated in many places around the world as Good Friday. It is an interesting and maybe even at first look, confusing title for a day where Jesus was brutally murdered. We can only try to imagine the horror of the day. Jesus was beaten without mercy, lashed numerous times, spat upon, crown of thorns pressed into his skull, paraded through the streets of Jerusalem just about dead with a heavy cross beam on his back, which would have been rough wood against torn open flesh. He could only go so far like that and another was called upon to carry that wood, as it became physically impossible. And after all of that, at the end of all this was crucifixion, where his hand would be held against the wood of the cross and nails would be driven through his wrist, his legs would be held against other wood of the same cross and nails would be driven through the feet. When that was done the cross would be raised with him on it and driven into the ground, and we can again only imagine what pain went searing through His body. Once the cross was up, Jesus would need to raise himself up to get breath, and eventually would suffocate to death. But before that He would feel separation from the Father for the only time in all of Gods history, and thus we see Him cry out, "My God My God Why Have You Forsaken Me?"

With all of that we call it Good Friday. Why? Because on that day when Jesus was being brutally beaten and murdered something was happening and something else was going to happen. What was happening was the display of Satan;s defeat in the fulfillment of what God promised in Genesis. The Lord told Satan that the seed of the woman, Jesus, would come and though Satan would bruise His heel, crucifixion, He , Jesus would crush his head, and that was what was happening. The payment for sin for all who are His, all who had and would believe in Him. The satisfying of the wrath of God on the cross in the place of all of us who have confessed we are sinners and begged Jesus to be our Savior, that is what was happening and that is enough for it to be called Good Friday.

But something else was going to happen in a few days and that was the Resurrection of the Lord Jesus Christ. Friday is Good only in light of and through the lens of the Sunday Resurrection. The Resurrection defines Friday as Good as it is the day that not only was payment for sin displayed, but Jesus was seen by many and pronounced by all in attendance to be dead. It was His dead body that came off of that cross, which is critically important when you consider that Sunday morning and for forty days after, Jesus Christ, risen, was walking this very same earth that they laid His body in. Friday is good because Gods wrath was satisfied for all who would believe in Him, and also because it left no doubt that Jesus was dead, which left no doubt that there was a Resurrection miracle on the third day, just as Jesus said there would be, thus proving beyond all doubt He is the Way the Truth and the Life and no one comes to God but through Him.

Today is Good Friday only for those who truly believe in the Lord Jesus Christ as the owner of their lives, their Lord and the forgiver of their sins, their Savior. So is today Good Friday for you, or just another day?

SAME SUBJECT, TWO VERY DIFFERENT REACTIONS, WHY MIGHT THAT BE SENATOR?

Some quotes from Barak Obama:

"..but I would also say that there's nobody on my staff who would still be working for me if they made a comment like that about anybody of any ethnic group"

"He didn't just cross the line,he fed into some of the worst stereotypes that my two young daughters are having to deal with today in America."

"It was a degrading comment. It's one that I'm not interested in supporting."

"What we've been seeing around this country is this constant ratcheting up of a coarsening of the culture that all of have to think about"

"And the notion that somehow it's cute or amusing, or a useful diversion, I think, is something that all of us have to recognize is just not the case. We all have First Amendment rights. And I am a constitutional lawyer and strongly believe in free speech, but as a culture, we really have to do some soul-searching to think about what kind of toxic information are we feeding our kids,"

Was that Obama speaking about his pastor Rev. Jeremiah Wright? No! Actually those are his comments about Don Imus in 2007 and his jokes about the Rutgers women's basketball team. Interesting that when it comes to Mr. Imus, Obama has the strength and resolve to distance himself and committ to never again appear on his show, yet when it comes to his pastor's racist bigoted statements, Obama yesterday felt the need to explain to us why Wright said what he said. There was no Imus like repudiation of Wright by Obama, in fact just the opposite.

While you could ask why Imus did not receive the same courtesy from Obama, that might mean you are called a racist. But I will say it, Obama did not give Imus the same courtesy because Imus is white! Think about it, Imus immediately apologized, Rev. Wright has never apologized. Imus met with and took his lumps from those he had offended, Wright has never sought to meet with any he has offended. Imus went on Al Sharpton's radio program and apologized, Rev. Wright has been in hiding and has not gone on any radio station to apologize. Yet with all of that factually true, Obama cut ties with Imus and yesterday explained why he could not cut ties with Rev. Wright. The reason should be obvious, but it is up to you to make that call!

CAN LIFE REALLY BE SOLD?

Ian Usher 44, a British immigrant to Australia is putting his life up for bid on EBay. By that he means everything he owns and does, from his house to his job and his friends, it is all up for bid in one package. It seems that the break up of his marriage has caused him to want to sell everything, get on a plane and start over somewhere. It is a fascinating strategy that will see defeat in a painfully large way. By that I mean, you cannot auction away your feelings nor the reality that is your life. It is a great display of how worldly and materialistic peoples lives become, so much so, that they believe their lives are able to be auctioned off!

What is it that makes up life? Is it only relationships and possessions? Or does it go deeper and involve real feelings about those relationships and possessions? Can a man auction off his feelings? Can he put up for bid the emotions of his heart? Thankfully no, as those are the things that are the image of God in us and separate us from the animal kingdom. The ups and downs, the ebb and flow, the joy and despairs of the heart are the things of life. They cannot be sold, and are to be embraced with passion, as gifts from God that define us as His creation.

Mr. Usher might be able to auction off the things of his life, but he will never be able to sell the real things that are his life! For that we all should give thanks to the God who gives us life and breath and everything else, every day!

G MAKES MONEY...WHY SO FEW?

It is truly amazing to watch Hollywood put out movie after movie that have dark themes. It is not amazing that they would do such a thing, but rather that they would do so in spite of what the dollars are telling them. There is a new study that has been released by Christian Film and Television Commission. And once again the results are clear that family orientied films make the most money. Here from the wires;

"G-rated movies averaged nearly $92.2 million, more than 438 percent better than R-rated. Last year, seven films with a G or PG rating earned more than $100 million at the domestic box office, and three PG-rated films ("Shrek the Third," $322 million; "National Treasure: Book of Secrets," $216 million; and "Alvin and the Chipmunks," $213 million) were among the year's top 10 earners. Only one R-rated film made the top 10, and it was No. 10, "300," with earnings of $210 million.No. 11 on the list was G-rated "Ratatouille" with $206 million."

Has Hollywood become a non-profit entity? Have they decided that they do not want to make as much money as possible? Of course those are ridiculous questions, but there is one really important question that must be asked, and that is why would Hollywood continue to make movies that they know will not make the money that family friendly films will? Or put another way, why is there not a flood of movies that are rated G and PG? The only answer that is consistent with the data, is film makers if given a choice will more often than not choose ideology over profit.

Which means when you go to the movies there is an ideology that is being sold to you. A point, theme or position that film makers believe you need to hold or at least head towards. While that may or may not be a good thing, it is critical that you the movie consumer understand that. I love going to the movies but studies like this remind me to not leave my brain at the door, as I might need it to thwart some of the propaganda could be viewing!

IT TRULY IS A QUESTION OF JUDGEMENT!

Barak Obama is a man who has captured the hearts and minds of many people in his run for the Presidency. His Ace in the hole, his calling card, his trump card has been judgement. His answer to the Clinton criticism of his not being ready on day one, or not having the experience to answer that 3 a.m. phone call has been judgment. He preaches that his judgment is better than his opponents due to the fact that he was against the war in Iraq from the beginning. Like him or not he has an effective position that has garnered him a seemingly insurmountable lead.

He also has been going to a church for over twenty years that has Rev. Jeremiah A. Wright Jr. as its Pastor. Wright has been Obama's Pastor for years, and in fact the title of Obama's book "Audacity of Hope",comes from one of Wright's sermons. Here are some quotes from Obama's Pastor, all given within the past few years, from the wires;

"America is still the No. 1 killer in the world
We believe in white supremacy and black inferiority and believe it more than we believe in God
We supported Zionism shamelessly while ignoring the Palestinians and branding anybody who spoke out against it as being anti-Semitic. . . . We care nothing about human life if the end justifies the means. . . .

We started the AIDS virus . . . We are only able to maintain our level of living by making sure that Third World people live in grinding poverty. . .

We are deeply involved in the importing of drugs, the exporting of guns and the training of professional killers. ... We believe in white supremacy and black inferiority and believe it more than we believe in God. ... We conducted radiation experiments on our own people. ... We care nothing about human life if the ends justify the means.

"And ... And ... And! God! Has got! To be sick! Of this s***!""

I could go on and on, but you get the point. Wright was actually going to speak at Obama's announcement of entering the race for President back in 07 but at the last minute was pulled from the schedule. While it is clear what type of man Wright is and what message he preaches, what is also clear is that Obama is a card carrying member and follower of this church and its teachings. Obama has tried to liken him to an uncle who you at times do not listen to, but has never denounced Wright and his racist bigoted statements. Obama has claimed judgment as his strength yet he does not denounce his Pastors racism and in fact continues to attend the church when he can.

This leaves us to either believe he lacks judgment, which in this case would be a severe lack of judgment to the extent that it should disqualify him from consideration. Or we are left with the other option which would be that down deep Obama does not truly disagree with his Pastor's statements. Either way what should be clear is that he truly does not possess the "judgment" to hold the highest office in the land!

A TIME TO PRAY!

What do you say about a man who had it all and abused his power in ways that are hard to comprehend? What is left to say about a man who had a fine family but it was not enough and being the most powerful man in the land went with a woman who was not his wife? While most of you believe I am speaking of Gov. Eliot Spitzer, the truth is I could very well be speaking of King David, a man the Word of God calls a man after Gods own heart. Yet he fell into not only adultery, but murder and a host of other sins related to his actions.

Here is the point, if a man like David can fall, any of us are capable of that same fall and worse. There is no place for a man or woman who calls Christ their Savior to stand back and thrown personal insults at someone who has fallen. The right thing for us to do is pray for that person and their family. Without a doubt the Governor of New York is in need of prayer. We know that in spite of his transparent attempt to call on Bible verses and Jesus in a press conference, that he needs Jesus as his personal Savior. We also know that he has a wife and three teen age girls for whom life right now can not make much sense, or even feel like going on with.

It is times like this that those who know the Lord should pray. Pray for the glory of God to be shown through all of this as another example of having the whole world not being enough without Christ is shown. And take heed to your own life, as but for the grace of God, it would be you, or me, having to clean up the mess that would be ones we truly love being destroyed by our actions. Stay close to the Lord today and pray for the Spitzers, they truly are in need of our Saviors grace!

THE RESULTS ARE IN AND THEY ARE NOT GOOD!

The CDC has come out with a stunning report that reveals that one in four teen age girls has a Sexually Transmitted Disease, or STD. What is truly stunning is that this is a report that deals with girls that actually were tested or swabbed, meaning that the results are undeniable. What is also undeniable is the maniacal, irresponsible, outrageous statement from Planned Parenthood, which I give you here from the wires;

"Cecile Richards, president of Planned Parenthood Federation of America, said the study shows that "the national policy of promoting abstinence-only programs is a $1.5 billion failure, and teenage girls are paying the real price."

Lets work through this. We are talking about diseases that are transmitted sexually, which would actually mean that abstinence would be the only one hundred percent preventative prescription. I know it is difficult for some to let the facts get in the way, but here is another, the HPV is the most common STD and it is given with sexual contact and condoms are very poor at preventing this form of disease. So for Richards to come out and blast abstinence is beyond the pale of normality and borders on the brink of mental illness, but that has never stopped Planned Parenthood in the past.

How in the world people could be duped into believing the lies that come from this heinous predatory group is beyond me. How can someone say the problem with sexually transmitted disease in young people is that people are teaching them to not have sex? Worse, how can anyone believe that or take it seriously? I trust you are more sensible and leave the rest you, as today for me to keep writing could lead to places I need not go and you need not read!!

PUTTING THE NAME TO THE COMMENTS!

Kentucky Representative Tim Couch has filed a bill that displays the times we live in. His bill seeks to make anonymous posting online illegal. It would require anyone who contributes to a website to register their real name, address and e-mail address with that site, and from then on their full name would be used anytime a comment is posted. To fail to do so would mean a fine. It is an interesting idea that seeks to deal with what he terms as "online bullying". While I am not sure about the bill, I do applaud the idea of anonymity being pierced in online postings.

I have written before about this, but it is worth revisiting. It is not fair or healthy for people to be able to hide while giving comments that often are insulting and damaging to someones character. People feel a false sense of bravado when they believe that no one will find out who they are. It would be a worthwhile venture to see what percentage of people would make the same postings if their true identity was known. If a person is not willing to put their name to a comment, then the comment should not be made.

Another reason to do away with anonymity on the web is to expose the predators who lay waiting to pounce on our young people. Too many children are fooled into believing they are talking to a peer when in fact it is some perverted adult who is seeking to lure them into some meeting. I am all for the light being shed on the darkness that is the Internet. Let's begin to hold people accountable for their statements and their actions. I am not sure this bill is the answer, but I applaud the motivation behind the bill!

NOT THE SOUTHERN BAPTIST'S TOO!!

Global warming is a hot (pun intended) topic in our culture. It is being bandied about in the political race for President. It appears that the politically correct stance is to be on board with fighting this "dangerous" phenomenon. The problem of course is that the science really does not line up with the rhetoric. There are as many if not more bright,credible, serious scientists who challenge the fundamental science behind the theory. Many of them will speak of cyclical events in the history of the earth and are very adept at exposing the global warming hysteria for just that, hysteria.

Well today we read of the Southern Baptist leaders who have come out and signed a document that calls for fighting climate change. I quote from the document;

"We believe our current denominational resolutions and engagement with these issues have often been too timid," according to the statement. "Our cautious response to these issues in the face of mounting evidence may be seen by the world as uncaring, reckless and ill-informed. We can do better."

My problem with this is not the idea of taking care of the creation that God has given us dominion over. I believe as strongly as anyone that it is our responsibility to care for what has been entrusted with. The problem with this declaration and others is the whole idea of the culture leading the Church. Documents like these appear reactionary in nature and void of significant thought and debate. I am sure there are as many or more within the Southern Baptist who would argue strongly against such a document.

How far should we go in fighting this so called climate change? Should we agree to only a certain number of children per family to save on energy? Should we abort those children that are to be born in families who have reached their limit as China has done? You see, once you start down this road you are open to many abominations. Once you go along with something in order to appear right to the culture you become the cultures prisoner. These Southern Baptist leaders have made, in my opinion a grave error they will one day regret. Let us hope that many of their followers will show better sense then some of their leaders!

HE KILLED HIS FATHER!

15-year-old Hughstan Schlicker killed his father who was standing in the kitchen at the time. Hughstan came up behind him and killed him. He had originally planned to kill himself in front of his father, but at the last minute changed those plans and made his father the victim. Upon killing his father he called a friend, told her what he had done and that he was now going to kill himself. She talked him out of it and begged him to call the police and turn himself in, which he did. So what is it that this father did that drove his son to such lengths? What abuse could he have inflicted on this child that would give him the rage to murder? What his dad did to him was not allow him to use the Internet any longer!

His dads decision to not allow Internet use drove Hughstan to murder, from the wires;

"Hughstan told detectives that he used the Internet to communicate with his friends and since his father took the Internet away, he was "just so depressed all the time," the report said. Specifically, Hughstan said he hated his father because he was restricting his use of the MySpace Web site, MyFOXPhoenix reports."

While we do not know all of the details we know enough to understand the power of the Internet. This is another in too many examples of how children are gripped by the Internet. It is how they communicate, where they go for information and all too often where their minds are corrupted and polluted to the point of believing that the right thing to do when disciplined is to kill the one handing out such discipline. Parents, take note of this and understand that fifteen is too late to fight this battle with your children. You must start long before so they will know that your discipline is love towards them and not hate. You must begin at a very early age to teach them that there are real consequences when they disobey your instructions. You must also start early on with knowing their habits. Where they go who they hang out with, and who is having the most influence in their lives.

Again a great place to learn of your child as he or she gets older is the Internet. The very things that suck them in and keep them online for too long, are the same things that can allow you to find out exactly where they are, before it is too late. I have mentioned this product before, but CyberSafe Home Computer Monitoring Software is a great way to accomplish some of these goals. With it installed on your child's computer or the family one, you are able to log on from anywhere in the world and see their activity. Who is trying to get them to meet? What kinds of conversations are they having, and what are they looking at? All of this and more with this great product, not the least of which is the ability to be notified by email when words that you most want to know are being used by your child. Whether they are writing them receiving them or looking at screens that have those words in there, you will be notified and can check it out right away.

I passionately ask you to consider CyberSafe Home for your families well being. It will not solve every problem your family has, but it will enable you to protect your son or daughter from predators, pornographers, and God forbid even from themselves. Simply go to www.cybersafeparent.com, you might one day thank God that you did!

MOM WATCHES IDOL WHILE DAUGHTER BEGINS TO DROWN!

Sheila R. Brooks is a twenty five year old mom of four girls, ages seven, five, three and one. This past week she had placed the two youngest girls in the tub for a bath, a normal happening in the Brooks home. At some point in the bath time, Sheila went to the other room to grab some clothes for the girls. It is here that things go awry. It seems that mom upon entering the room to get the garments, noticed American Idol was on television. Believe it or not, she actually sat down with her two oldest and watched some of the show.

At some point she realized that she had left her two youngest in the tub. Rather than leave the show and get her children out of the tub, she sent her seven year old to do the task that was hers. When the oldest child went in the bathroom, to her horror she found that the three year old was submerged under water. This was enough to get mom moving as she flew into the bathroom, grabbed her drowning daughter and began to administer CPR as they waited for the ambulance. As of this past Monday the child is in critical condition,and in need of your prayers.

While many parents have stories of absent mindedness, this one exposes more than just that. It is symbolic of a nation of people who are entertaining themselves literally to death! When did it happen that parents cared more for a meaningless television show than their own children? At what point did we hit that milestone? There is no excuse for a parent neglecting their children in this fashion, and this was neglect,in my opinion. I do not want to condemn this woman, but neither do I want to dismiss what happened. Her little daughters were one hundred percent dependent upon her to live! And she cared more about American Idol in those moments than she did for her own children.

It only takes one moment of selfishness and irresponsibility for tragedy to fall on your family. Moms, Dads, do not take your eye of the ball, stay engaged in the game. I am sure that this mom would give anything to rewind time. If she could we both know that she would plant herself in that bathroom and stay right by that tub, until those kids were clean, out and dressed in their pajamas. If she could she would go back to when things were as they presently are with your children. Take heed of this today, and re-dedicate yourself to the greatest privilege in the world, being a parent!
